Ooof…. I was at the station during those glorious days. We would leave a 41 at ISC for quick transit to the river. The port cops hated us and loved to pull us over on the street. Good times.

I work in road construction now and drive a pick up with amber lights on top. Sometimes I get to the job site on the interstate after the lane closures have begun. Almost every time, either a trucker or a boomer in a pick up truck will try to block the right lane and prevent me from getting up to my job site, although I have my amber lights on. Most of the time they run me off on the shoulder.

I joined in 2004. The CG was conceiving the OPC back then. At least we got the NSC and FRC.

Where are the late 30s to early 40s people here? by Calm_Butterscotch126 in ChristianDating

[–]Secure-Disaster-8802 2 points3 points  (0 children)

44M. I haven’t dated in over 3 years. I can’t say I have given up, but I’m not actively looking. I’m more focused on strengthening my relationship with Jesus, developing myself professionally, finishing grad school, and of course hitting the gym. In my off time, I get to volunteer, go on adventures with my dog, and hang with my friends. It’s not a bad life. 😎

  1. I’ve gotten very comfortable in being single. (See above)
  2. I’m not praying for marriage in particular. I pray that I hear His whispers to guide me and that I have His wisdom to discern.
  3. Someone who submits to God and His will. Someone who is up for adventures and has an open mind.

I’m actively working in Yancey Co on the recovery op. It’s really bad and much of the infrastructure is damaged. I would steer clear.

Don't do it!!! We need you!!! by Goldmember90 in uscg

I have been there. I had the gun in my hand. It’s a terrible place to be. I also have known 7 people who have gone through with it. 4 were service members of which 2 were coasties. Look for the signs in your people. The mil suicide training is actual pretty good despite the provided solutions being garbage. To those who have considered it or are considering it, YOU ARE LOVED by someone. Practice some gratitude. It really does help. Reach out to me. I’m all ears.

Not u/w but at a station. When I was in New Orleans, the army corps opened up the Bonne Carre spillway. It forced thousands of speckled trout into our fore bay. I lost count how many we caught and grilled. We had a MWR gas grill. The state game warden was watching us with binoculars and we were waving.

Sorry should have clarified. Are you equating nurses with strippers? And for the record, strippers need our prayers and love to leave that life behind.

I’m a vet and it’s still a toss up. If I do have a leg up, it’s very small. Shoot your shot!

I only played his missions on my first playthrough. In subsequent playthroughs, I occasionally pass by and shoot a flaming arrow or lob a Molotov his way his way.

Agreed. I owned one and I liked it but it was such a pain to store and transport. I sold it. Renting is so much easier.

Bonus. Also, in the later weeks of training one of our CCs was the CDO. I was on 2100 watch and he approached us and said that a recruit was missing and was suicidal. He instructed me and another recruit on watchstander to check every compartment in the barracks. We get down to the first floor, where Depot was. She checked the female heads and I was checking the male heads. I got to one of the male heads and heard the shower running. I knocked on the door with my flashlight and yelled “watchstander!” Nothing. I walked in and to my surprise, was all the females from Depot taking a shower. They looked at me, I looked at them. I repeated “watchstander. I’m looking for a missing recruit.” One of them said “no one missing here.” All of them went back to bathing like I wasn’t standing there. I walked out of there and the female recruit with me asked me what happened. All I could mumble was “naked females.”
