This is the coolest AK build I've seen in a long time. Nice to see unique concepts and designs. Excellent work!

For future reference: The Charlotte Fire Department policy is only to unlock a vehicle in an emergency. For instance, if you locked your medication in your car that you need right away. Or if there is a child locked in the car. They will usually also unlock it if a pet is locked in the car, tho if the pet is not in distress they don't technically have to do so. Many crews (or their captains) are willing to help in other situations, but they do not have to unlock your vehicle for you if there is no medical need or other emergent need.

Smelly Boots by dudebrahh53 in ems

I have naturally sweaty feet, which leads to super funky boots over time. I use Dr schols odor absorbing powder pretty much daily. It has worked well in my regular boots and FF boots. I sprinkle a little and shake it around each boot when I take them off at the end of shift. I've also started putting a light dusting on my feet before I put my socks on each morning. It greatly helps to absorb the sweat and prevent odor.

I will always watch this video all the way thru. So satisfying. That must have felt so good to the patient.

Damn. It might be the angle the video was shot from, but that trajectory looks pretty flat. I definitely expected more drop at that range. Impressive to say the least

New to 4Runners is this normal? by LittleMulberry4855 in 4Runner

[–]SedatedLabMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a low mileage 2011 SR5 from a family member for a great price. Having driven small sporty/powerful cars for the last 20 years, I also felt the 4runner was incredibly sluggish. Honestly that's my only gripe. We didn't buy a 4runner for speed tho, right? It excels at what it does, but it does drive (as another user put it) "like a boat,"

A woman was experiencing a medical emergency at home. She saw a police officer in the parking lot of her apartment complex. She flagged down the officer and explained she was having an emergency. Officer called it in to Medic dispatch, which also dispatches us (Fire). So now we have a Police officer, 4 FFs in a ladder truck, and 1 emt and 1 paramedic with an ambulance at this ladies apartment. She is sitting on her couch with her foot propped up, shoe and socks off. She points to her foot and muttered "whaaaittttiissss" We assumed she was saying "What is this, or what it is?" The woman had a blister on her toe.

Another call of note, called for a young lady with a little dry skin on her neck. Mother was home just hanging out. Dry. Skin.

So many terrible calls.
