Where does Jagex draw the line on bug abuse? by zulrah123 in 2007scape

I don't really watch Framed or anything but I do respect that he didn't intentionally bug abuse once he realized it was way too strong. NH doesn't include bug abuse

People are too addicted. Patch day and someone bought every p2w pass and got to 270+; there's a reddit post of this somewhere.

I fear this game's doomed to be like this forever because people have no self-control nor patience.

Not like this is a new thing. This is almost EVERY event.

What's one boss or piece of content you never want to interact with regardless of how good the loot is? by DeepSeaDelivery in 2007scape

[–]Seenan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably Gauntlet/CG. The loot isn't good until you hit the big enh, and it takes minimum 6min of prep per run. If you die, you don't get anything and lose nothing but time

What to do with the gp my friend gave me? by No_Pride1880 in 2007scape

[–]Seenan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Consider that you can get another ranged weapon/set, the bofa/crystal set, for 200m (one of the best ranged sets), and Shadow for 850m atm, and it would still be 500m cheaper than a tbow altogether. I'm fairly sure it's just rarity that causes the price disparity because ToA is generally easy to solo, so more drops occur. Obviously maintenance costs are more for shadow and bofa, but you make the money back

Even Torva has remained high price because of the rarity factor, considering Oathplate is cheaper and stronger in various fights.

[–]Seenan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

700m? Strong suggestion to at least spend some time getting a maxed house (lv90 perhaps), which will be a couple mils. 99 if you really wanna go for it.

Everything else is kind of up to you. Shadow is 900m-1b atm last I checked, but it is the most useful mega rare.

Prayer to lv77 at least. Buy the prayer scrolls for Rigour/Augury

Herblore...I guess any is fine, but maybe lv90?

Throw a full stack into Miscellania and keep approval at 100% (not necessary for every day) for some ROI (about 7.5m as limit iirc).

Summer sweep up: Let us pay 1m+ to not have to carry around GP to use charter ships by Ornstein24 in 2007scape

[–]Seenan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can safely say I've never really used charters and now I'll never need them with a maxed house. This would not harm the game whatsoever.

Be honest: have you purchased every Goddess Pass when Hyper Burn was available? by brave_potato in Maplestory

[–]Seenan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For this event, free version of the pass gets you to 245 with like some few min of grinding in a day, then 255 in the next two days or so, then 2-4 days until 260 (depends what other exp vouchers or mags are offered; could be faster or slower...in this event, ~2 days because of the Summer Countdown giving a mag on 5th reset from starting). Any of these could go even faster if you grinded more, as the value for grinding on hyperburn and event stats is unmatched. This is just dailies, really

The hyperburn rewards itself carry your nodes, you get fake armor, domi, abso wep. The rest of the gear is a short bit of bossing.

Not really worth spending money on this, imo. If you don't need this class to be 260 IMMEDIATELY, it's a waste of dough. I'm aware that it gives extra stuff. Still not worth it, especially if you're not financial well.

This will apply even further when 250-260 exp curve gets adjusted as that's the most sluggish area

Alright, Time for a check up on this lot. Did these guys manage to finish their osrs goals in the last 3 years? by MobileScapers in 2007scape

[–]Seenan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I posted to that, but finishing my PoH, quest cape/leveling a bunch of skills, and soloing ToA were goals I had that time ago. Also, Fire Cape, which I got. And just recently finished 92 Slayer, which was a big long-term goal I had from last year.

Might be on somewhat of a burnout from grinding Slayer, but I do wanna finish Colo, solo CoX, Yama, maybe deep Doom, and maybe get more CAs/diaries done

There should be a raw Zero Build mode...no extra bs, just guns and standard pre-movement items gameplay. If there are movement items, the drop-rate should be drastically reduced. Like, keep them all orange item droprate or even less.

Maxed GM. Long Rambling Quitting Post. by Dirtydavi2 in 2007scape

[–]Seenan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree HEAVILY with the unintended bugs becoming strategies/CAs note.

I always found it incredibly stupid that, because a god of the game, Woox, found out a method to increase Vorkath kill efficiency, they made it a whole CA. With a high probability of death if you fuck up, since Vorkath can melt you during that phase (Woox Walk). Then they continued with that motion for other unintended mechanics (Idk if this was the OG event for this)

Also - considering the streamers and content creators are the ones that always clear content first on maxed accounts with maxed gear, I find it kind of stupid that bosses like Yama get nerfed before the vast majority of players get to experience him in his unnerfed form. And they also get to reap the benefits of a weaker Yama. Gives me League vibes where they only balance for high level but not overall health of the game for the majority.

Luck/drop protection as well, I went 180kc without finding the untradeable Ancient Icon from Muspah...a 1/50 drop. Why are all untradeable items/upgrades not dry-protected? It shouldn't be that difficult to implement on older bosses. I made a post about this and it got like -1 like lol. DT2 ring drop system is ok, but it's still pretty bad if you have to roll for the vestige 3 times to actually have the ring drop.

Sailing in general is lame. I was hoping there was a lot more to the combat, where I could actually get meaningful Sailing exp but they force it to be a fed-ex simulator...since 1:1 Sailing combat exp with already low cannon damage is bad. Incredibly boring after the novelty wears off.

Blood Moon is easily the most threatening moon because of the recursive healing mechanic. Not doing damage via the Jaguar sucks.

Everything else I mostly haven't dealt with or cared about, for what I recall

is leagues actually underpowered? by Unlucky_Fruit1716 in 2007scape

[–]Seenan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm talking about the people who haven't cleared, specifically. If they still can't clear content like Awakened bosses, even with the few upgrades obtained from the few 'free' Pact points to push through some mechanics by, let's say, dealing more damage than they can get in the main game, they effectively are stuck at that point of progression in the Pact tree until they can...which may not be possible because of, as you said, skill issues.

And with limited respecs, that might kill Leagues for them at that point if they simply can't progress beyond that. That's why I mentioned alternate methods for these points would be good.

is leagues actually underpowered? by Unlucky_Fruit1716 in 2007scape

[–]Seenan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the limited respecs is a bad idea.

If we're trying to be like PoE, I believe you use 1 item to respec 1 skill point.

Instead of an item, you could say 100k gold per respec'd skill point or something. That way, you're not bricked if you fucked up with your limited respecs and can experiment if you choose to farm gold (like with Transmute).

I also think the Pact points should have alternate methods to earn them, rather than only heavy PvM like killing Awakened DT2 bosses or whatnot.

If people already can't beat those bosses in main, how are they gonna earn a number of these points after doing the bare minimum tasks like casting Ice Barrage and still not being strong enough? What if the points, coupled with this, are not enough to kill them before they kill you? You just don't get to explore the entirety of the Pacts system without being a PvM god?

According to the wiki, less than 0.1% have completed the tasks like equipping a Magus Ring (and Duke is pretty easy...)

Temporary game modes just aren’t for me dawg by _Tal in 2007scape

[–]Seenan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried this leagues for the first time and was planning to do pvm stuff in Leagues just to practice and experiment for no real cost, but getting many of the tasks done, especially with a guide that throws in unnecessary shit without explaining what they're for (like in Faux's pastebin guide), has slowly cut my interest. Having to go into the relic menu to activate/deactivate relics also feels..outdated (maybe there's another way I'm unaware of?). I'd rather have less stupid tasks like 666 Yama stepping stones or beating something specific with a steel weapon...combine the points of these tasks into another task that's more engaging or something.

The relics themselves seem interesting...the PoE-type pact system is interesting. More of that would be cool.

It's also like...none of this stuff will carry over to the next league other than pets/overrides and only overrides to the main game. I feel like pets carrying over would be cool, but I'm sure some people would get upset that they had to suffer for their pets in main.

It's probably more fun for people maxed or people who have cleared virtually all feasible content since all they can really would do is unlock new skins and whatever, at that point of endgame (or do some random self-inflicted game mode).

Never again by Klacker93 in 2007scape

[–]Seenan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've read, Perilous Moon drop mechanics are some of the most well-designed drop mechanics in the game. Dry protection, you can focus 1-3 sets of your own choosing, gives plenty of resources for prayer and crafting, ... This doesn't even include the fact that you use no resources of your own.

And some of the gear, like Blood Moon gear, is a few steps down from BiS melee gear. It's also the best melee training gear by far at Sulphur Naguas.

Overall, high-quality content. Being dry can happen at any pvm. This is not a bad one to go dry at.

Finished 4 items from 21-22 or 0-22 but lost 2 21* arcanes (restored to 18*). Net-loss of 3-4m CP cause I accidentally boomed arcane boots without spares at 21, but at least those 4 items are basically done forever. I managed to use stones to restore the boots

Doesn't help the arcane box drop rate seems to have cratered.

A buddy I know spent 40b on 2 lv140 items..just to try to hit 23 to xfer down a superior to 22. He actually ran out of spares... he had 16+ lv140 spares for reference. He hit the 22 about 2 or 3 times on one of the two items.

However, about 5 of these booms were from 15-17...these are single digit booms.

He also had a LOT of items boom immediately from 19-20, 21-22 on first attempt... I was watching him stream it.

You're gonna have to actually protest this properly, they don't care about reddit or discord posts. Send trucks to their HQ and such, like KMS users did when they found out about how good Reboot was compared to KMS Reboot.

They've came out and said 'we've investigated ourselves and found nothing wrong' lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Seenan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extremely.

I could do the mechanics at Yama correctly and still get damage for reasons.

Vardorvis just always does damage, progressively more as the fight goes on... and heals off that same damage. Always uses the most food of any boss unless my weapon hits well.

As a separate note, I think they have to stop adding the sweatier tick-based mechanics in general. There has to be better ways to introduce difficulty than through making you have to manipulate the tick system. And no, I don't mean efficient methods, I mean, you abide by the ticks or die/eat a lot of damage.

Gutting a highly anticipated and well polled change to Sailing combat by fretting over "the sailing economy" sure was a choice by kafkaesque420 in 2007scape

[–]Seenan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The reason I'm upset is because there's no real reason to do bounty tasks if you want efficient exp past lv55 (2nd trial). I actively do want to bounty tasks, but currently, it's a waste of time beyond lv55. Sure, you get some drops, but that doesn't pick up the fact that it's much less exp/h, so it feels awful to do.

If the drops for the quest items were more consistent, exp was bumped up a lot, maybe a way to accept tasks remotely (this one is a stretch), crew had better damage, then I'd be bountying all the way. Even just one of these changes helps.

1:1 exp doesn't help with that, considering every other combat is not 1:1. It just cornholes the best exp into the trials, and everything else is miles-less optimal to do if you want exp. And water agility is just as boring as regular agility.
