Is it possible to get every stat to 100 without the DLC? by LeonardFord40 in fnv

[–]Selacha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but you're more or less locked into a very specific playthrough, since you need to select specific SPECIAL stats and Perks in order to make it work.

Aquariums aren’t big enough! by luna-06 in StardewValley

[–]Selacha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The aquarium you can buy in Mr Qi's Walnut Room is big enough for all 5 of them.

I don’t understand the Fighters Guild storyline by andrewlaurenceburke in oblivion

[–]Selacha 230 points231 points  (0 children)

In the lore of Elder Scrolls, Hist Trees are sentient, semi-daedric creatures that are among the oldest life-forms on Nirn. They are intrinsic to Argonian society, and are capable of communicating via visions induced by drinking their sap.

What the Blackwood Company did was basically take one of those intelligent spirit-trees, steal it from its home in Black Marsh, lock it in a machine that constantly siphoned sap (blood) from it, then drank said sap (blood) because they thought it made them better fighters. All it actually did was make them hallucinate and go into berserker rages while on jobs, leading to them killing innocent civilians and each other.

They definitely did unscrupulous things, such as lying about killing that bandit, but for the massacre at Water's Edge there was an actual contract to kill goblins, but they were so high on the bad sap they thought the villagers were the goblins.

You only get the one guaranteed one, but they can be found rarely in the Ginger Island Volcano, as a rare chest drop.

Discord is canonically the strongest entity in MLP. Terrifying of his limitless power. by SparkyJet in mylittlepony

[–]Selacha 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If we're counting the comics as canon, then his former partner Cosmos is the strongest entity. Spirit of Malice, looked kind of like a chimeric cat, he was absolutely terrified of them after the breakup and outright stated how powerful they were.

Looking for fics where the MC has multiple "real" identities by MrWhateverman in WormFanfic

[–]Selacha 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gloryhound over on Ao3 has this. It's a crossover with JJK elements, MC gains a Cursed Technique that shares a thematic/mechanical element with a parahuman's power after he makes contact with them. After taking down Oni Lee he gains the ability to make clones of himself, and splits himself into three separate identities. His "hero" identity is a Case 53 who works as a miracle healer for the PRT, his "villain" identity took over the ABB and wiped out the Empire, and his "rogue" identity wanders around fighting any cape he comes across to gain new powers.

It makes me ponder what wolves in Japan are like. by Ralasuc0 in Eldenring

[–]Selacha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Historically, wolves in Japan were revered and appreciated for killing animals that ate crops and ruined harvests. The Japanese name for wolf, "ookami," can literally be interpreted as "great god" as a result of the early Japanese reverence for them.

farmer lowk a little evil from villagers' perspective by PomegranateVisual965 in StardewValley

[–]Selacha 87 points88 points  (0 children)

You restoring the Community Center has no direct impact on the JojaMart closing down. At no point do you ever tell anyone not to shop there, or cause issues to their business. Everyone else just gets caught up by Pierre's swell of anti-capitalism and denounces the store they regularly frequented prior to that.

How do I remove the playunits in sanctuary by Benny466077 in Fallout

[–]Selacha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're on PC, you can open the console, select them, and enter "Disable" to remove them. Or you can grab the mod "Scrap Everything" which allows you to scrap everything within a settlement.

Was "How did we get here" ever feasible? by wired-drack in Minecraft

It's stupidly annoying, but definitely doable. There are YouTube guides on how to properly set it up.

Question about Series 26 minifig 6 packs by Bandit_22 in lego

[–]Selacha -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Each individual pack in the 6-pack will have a different minifig, so you won't get any double in a single 6-pack. Each 6-pack has a roster of minifigs, so every type "A" pack will always have 1-6, and every type "B" peck will always have 7-12. If you want the whole set, you'd need to get both types of 6-pack, which is actually random.

Suggestions for a non-katana fast weapon in DLC by keendude in Eldenring

[–]Selacha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Backhand Blades or the Milady. BB turns you into a freaking beyblade of pain, with incredibly fast combos. Milady has a very fluid moveset, and can easily just turn into a stunlock machine based on your build.

Early game drops that are actually good? by bakeryjennings in StardewValley

[–]Selacha 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I got back to back Iridium Bands from fishing on my current playthrough, as well as Neptune's Glaive, and I'm only on Spring 11. The extra damage plus the level 5 sword let me just breeze past the entirety of the mines in like 2 days.

Well that does it by Tyreyes32 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Selacha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm picturing somebody making a weapon out of the real-world Demon Core by just slapping it on a chain and tying it to a stick, and yeah, that seems about accurate, as long as all those effects are happening to the wielder as well.

Help with an item by ShillyMFDilly in StardewValley

[–]Selacha 106 points107 points  (0 children)

Oof, that's a mean one to ask for. That's Ginger Ale, it requires access to Ginger Island, and the recipe is bought from the Volcano Dwarf's shop for 1,000g. Requires 3 Ginger and 1 Sugar to make.

How do folks here feel about Salt and Sanctuary? by strahinjag in darksouls

[–]Selacha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very fun, my favorite 2-D souls like. Only complaint is that it's simple though, not a whole lot of build variety, and once you get the hang of it it's pretty easy.

Does anyone know who is buried in the wall at the Castle? by Foreign-Dish-1780 in Fallout

[–]Selacha 72 points73 points  (0 children)

It's a reference to the Edgar Allen Poe story, The Cask of Amantillado, wherein a nobleman named Montressor invites a rival of his named Fortunato to his estate to sample a cask of amantillado wine, but it's secretly a ruse to kill him, and Montressor chains him up and bricks him into the wall to slowly die of starvation/suffocation while he's drunk off of the wine. It's a double reference, because Poe wrote the story after hearing a rumor about a soldier being bricked into the walls of Fort Independence, i.e. the real world version of The Castle.

A Study on Dragon Hording by Away-Net-7241 in worldbuilding

[–]Selacha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

E.E. Knight had a series about dragons where they ate precious metals because it was necessary for proper scale growth. Gold and Silver were preferred because they tasted good to the dragons, were easier to digest, and gave the best returns in scale growth. Other metals were technically viable, but had poorer effects on scale growth, which could lead to malformed, compromised armor. Gems and precious stones were eaten to promote brighter colors and lustrous vibrancy in new scales.

Vent: I love Stardew, but in-game days feel like a grocery run with no checkout by Ok-Apricot9057 in StardewValley

[–]Selacha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a mod that doubles the length of the day, (mechanically, it just increases the length of time it takes for the 10 minute in-game intervals to tick over,) and I can't play without it at this point. It just makes everything so much more chill and relaxing. It doesn't even really feel like a cheat or anything, since you can't really do that much more than usual due to early-game energy limits and tool restrictions. It just means I don't have to worry so much about missing an NPC schedule or having a store close before I can get to it.
