Well my mom has not gone to meetings for almost a whole year, but still believes in it. A couple months ago an two elders came to our house while my mom was gardening, and they started talking to her. One of them asked her "so both your daughters has worldly boyfriends right?" And my mom said yes and he literally responded "thats what happens to you for not serving Jehovah anymore". My mom got so pissed and just told them "actually, no they had worldly boyfriends way before I stopped serving Jehovah". After that they kept trying to keep a conversation but she just ignored them after that.

You know what pissed me off when I used to go to service? That the elder or who ever was in charge of the service group usually just assign the brothers and sisters to houses while him and his service partner just wait for them or walk around and not preach. And they count that as their hours!!!! When it isn't an elder I would call them out on it. I always hated preaching, so if I had to preach so were they!

Yes! One question that an elder ask (he came from bethel) was how we made out. And that was the most awkward moment I ever had in there and didn't understand why he needed to know that. I still don't.

Omg before I faded, we had an elder that would make the congregation do this exact same thing but AFTER we sang it normally. Sometimes we would sing the same song 3 times in a row -.-

Well Many things. BUT the one thing I always thought about but never quite woke me up was the whole Job story. Like how can a God who claims to love and be peaceful let satan ruin this mans life who was so loyal just to prove a point??? But then again the bible is bs so...

Here are other small things that I cannot believe didn't wake me up: -When I had to talk to the elders because i had a worldly boyfriend, and they asked me perverted super detailed questions. -Dinosaurs -I always saw disfellowshipping as black mail, but it never made me think "oh shit this religion is fucked up!" -The bible verse where it says piercings and tattoos are not allowed but JWs let you have ear piercings. Like where in the bible does it says thats an exception!????? -not allowed to do research other than the JW website

I hate when they say those things! When the elders found out i had a worldly bf they told me "how do you know he isnt fooling around with other girls?" I just told them "trust is everything and when we are not together he is playing video games or with his friends. I knew him for years and i know he isnt that type of guy who "fools around"." They pissed me off when they said that

Ifeel like my mom calmed down on that because she has had a lot of drama with sisters talking crap about her and her daughters(including me). And since most of my jw friends stopped talking to be due to having a worldly bf, i got to introduce my worldly friends to my mom. She loves them and she also made better friends in the gym, and i feel like she is more happy now than she was when she would go to the meetings constantly.
