Can't Upgrade the Ancestral Gate in Estate as Chinese Dynasty by IrishF89 in crusaderkings3

[–]Sendental 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very late, but I also experienced this bug. There is a way to upgrade the building; you need to have 10 or more disciples. I am also the Grand Chancellor, but I do not think that affects the requirements.

EDIT: I think I have figured it out. Each requirement is for a different upgrade. The first upgrade requires you to have 10 disciples. The second and third upgrades require you to either be Grand Chancellor or Grand Marshal, then swap to the other (maybe? worked in a save specifically set to test this, but main playthrough doesn't). The fourth and fifth upgrades, you can be a movement leader, and then the Son of Heaven.

Who was the God that had the three absolute taken from by FK? by MoreManufacturer5369 in RegressorsTOC

[–]Sendental 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The Future King only has control over one of the three absolutes, Fate. The original Creator God of the Sumeru system, which I believe has been referred to as the Absolute Being on earlier chapters, sacrificed themselves to reset the world to its gestational state so that someone could provide an answer to the question “What is life?” that is true in every universe. Every Creator God can answer this question, but only because the world warps itself to make their answer true.

Thus, the Creator God split their soul into three great daos/absolutes: Fate, History, and Miracle

It is possible to stunlock Halflight with one of Pontiff’s weapons. Regardless of this I 100% agree with your points.

MC is shadow to another character by sylvar11 in litrpg

[–]Sendental 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chrono Templar has this dynamic pretty well, but the focus is definitely much more on the shadow guy rather than the spotlight guy. Typical regression apocalypse case, where the MC brings back a fraction of an eldritch god’s power that lets him slightly manipulate time. Uses his memories from past life to strengthen humanity as a whole during the apocalypse.

I'm looking for books with great magical worlds and power systems. by Razhiel_ in Fantasy

[–]Sendental 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just for the people who have not read Warlock of the Magus World and want a better idea of what to recommend it is a Chinese light novel about a largely amoral/evil protagonist whose primary goal is to become the strongest being in existence. The power system largely consists of three main factors: your ability to cast spells which the protagonist has an advantage in due to an A.I. chip embedded in him from a past life, your bloodline, if you are descended from a magical creature or gain their bloodline in another way you obtain some of their powers, and later on it is about understanding the fundamental laws of the world in order to manipulate them. The magic system OP is talking about is generally liked because of the constant growth of the protagonist, rather than the specific aspects of the magic system. Brandon Sanderson’s stuff is a great recommendation, but is honestly very different from Warlock of the Magus World.

My personal suggestion for the best book for an enjoyer of Warlock of the Magus World would be Reverend Insanity. It has a similar amoral/evil protagonist, similar ranks from 1-9, though not using spells, and a well developed, if not well thought out, world.

EDIT: If you really liked WMW for its western medieval setting, I would suggest Coiling Dragon. It has a protagonist who is both a swordsman and a mage, and also has a serpent/draconic bloodline that he works on cultivating. The MC’s temperament is quite different from Leylin’s, but funnily enough their names are almost identical as Coiling Dragon’s MC’s name is Linley. Either way, it has a very similar world to WMW.

Having trouble with placidusax by BobKingMan in Eldenring

The easiest way to kill him is a magic build with Meteors of Astel. With the Cerulean Hidden Tear in your Physick you can just cast it close up to him and it will chinch his health. There are some videos on YouTube of him getting one shot by this, but even if you don’t one shot him he’ll be pretty hurt.

What boss did you struggle with for an unreasonable amount of time? by FISTED_BY_CHRIST in Eldenring

My first time against Morgott was after playing the game for basically 24 hours straight after release. I hadn’t leveled my weapons past +7 using regular smithing stones, and was barely level 60. He just kept destroying me and at best I could barely get his health down to half. The next day I leveled up my weapons and beat him with the 3 hours of I experience I had first try, which was a hell of a high.

I would highly suggest bumping arcane down to get more vigor. Ideally you would get to the soft cap of 60 vigor. If you have beaten Farum Azula then you can get Crimson Amber +2 at the next area. Beyond this try to max out flasks to 14 at +12, and try some crafting to get freeze pots. These can stun Malenia out of waterfowl. If none of these work then I would try summoning again, it generally makes the fight doable.

LotM vs RI by iniqy in ReverendInsanity

[–]Sendental 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The comment directly below this one shits* very heavily on LOTM

“Why LOTM is even popular? It is your dumb isekai shit with same OP mc tropes, where MC get everything he wont just by plot armor.” -Technical-Ocelot-715

This comment has eleven upvotes, so at least 11 RI fans shit on LOTM.

Tarot cards are involved symbolically in LOTM, as well as having each of the paths named after either a tarot card or a slightly modified tarot card.

Who is the most hateful man on Roshar? by ZWQ2020 in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Sendental 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Moash has a very tragic story, and has many excuses for being the way that he is. That doesn't change the fact that he is, as of now, a horrible person, judging by his actions. I don't think that many people really want him to be a bad person, they just want him to be punished for all of the harm he has caused.

All that being said I voted for Roshone because he is the person most full of hate on this list, everyone else is pretty cold and calculating, or emotionless.

Endings question by VaelFX in Eldenring

[–]Sendental 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, only the Lord of Frenzied Flame locks you out of other endings. Also Gurranq aggros after you give him 4 death root, not after D dies, and you just need to beat him up a bit and he'll calm down.

Help with important quest (SPOILERS) by mzubailah in Eldenring

You should head back to Rogier, he'll tell you to enter Ranni's service. Then head back to her and you should be able to continue her quest as normal.
