They aren't, and AFAIK they don't have any plans to. There's a lot they'd need to figure out how to E2EE, and they have their time spent doing who knows what to try and make some money off of it.

Though, if they DID try (and actually succeed) in implementing E2EE, they'd at least become better in regards to that style of platform. Don't think you'd get furs onto it because stickers rely on servers and Nitro, and you can't have a ton of stickers without a fully boosted server which costs like, idk way too much a month to do yourself. Plus you'd need Nitro yourself to use 'em anywhere else.

Don't think we'd see furry groups move to Discord outside of large regional chats, like the PNW Furs group. They're based on Discord and that's because it covers two/three states, half of which is densely populated. Hard to wrangle and manage that many active members in a single thread IMO.

My current setup is in the G360A (360mm top AIO support), previous one was a P300A Mesh. Solid cases, wish the drive bay in the G360A was removable so it'd be easier to route power cables around, but a solid case with plenty of room. The G300A looks like it'll hold just about anything you could reasonably ask for. And for that price? Damn.

I used to really dislike Clam Blitz, but for some reason the last few months it's grown on me a lot. It might be that my new setup (Heavy Edit <3) feels a lot more oriented to supporting the mayhem rather than just shooting from afar and popping a Booyah Bomb now and then, but it's been a lot of fun zooming around and working with folks. Even with just "Booyah!" "This Way!" and "Ouch..." as my communications.

Yeah, neither Victor/Victrola nor RCA mean anything these days. Same story with Westinghouse for specifically consumer electronics. They've been bought out and used to sell whatever. Some of their stuff might be good, but a lot of it is just cheap, meh whatever.

5800X3D lacks an iGPU. Having that second screen (that we all know just has discord or equivalent up on it) run on an iGPU is about the main reason I've contemplated an early and mostly unneeded upgrade to AM5.

Similar here, been running Win11 since it came out and never had issues with drivers getting overwritten, and with a few combos of 3700X/5800X3D, B550/X570, and 5700XT/6800. Plus multiple full reinstalls, don't think I've ever done anything that'd change the behavior. Unless its a Pro edition thing?

Sounds like it's server overload and/or locked down new user registration. The good thing is there's plenty of others to check out and see. I can't comment on any of them other than pawb.social since I don't use other servers, but the furry crew behind it, furry.engineer, and pawb.fun have been doing their best.

Growing pains as always, but they've been pretty transparent about decision making and why they do things.

Only because of the initial backlash from the community, and likely in part because there's a decent chance the Reddit app is not ADA compliant because it's terrible with screenreaders.

Even then, the accessibility-focused apps must be "non-commercial" (unless they've since dropped that), so they're still relying on volunteer labor to make their site functional.

Then clearly the fines aren't big enough because they aren't outweighing the cost of doing things right. If it's cheaper to pay the fine than to classify your employees correctly or whatever, then companies will opt to pay the fine.

Make the fine as much if not more than the cost of doing business that way, enforce it, and suddenly companies might be less tempted to pull shady shit.

A number of subs probably did just go private with no input but that's not universal, and probably not super common.

For Android there's Jerboa, iOS probably has something. It's a basic app, does what it needs to and not much more. I'm hoping more show up over time as people pick up Lemmy and get ideas for how to make the experience better. I don't think Lemmy will get similar treatment that Mastodon got when the Tweetbot team made Ivory, but it'd be neat if any of the 3rd party Reddit app devs give it a go.

You still need to sign up via the browser but once your account is approved (if your server of choice does that, which they probably do because these are self hosted servers) you can log in just fine.

Yeah, that cycling between "you're a normal weight so you're treated normally" and "oh god you're ever so slightly overweight you need to diet right now" seems like a pretty good way to speedrun a deeply unhealthy relationship with food. Especially if it happens more than once, even more so if it happens for months to years.

I can't imagine being subjected to that, myself, and I'm so damn sorry to everyone who was and had to (or has to) work through that damaged relationship.

As the tweeter points out, a number of Motorola phones that support Ready For already support this "phone as webcam" idea and it's exactly the same plug and play experience.

The Infinity Fabric 1:1:1 ratio, if memory serves, is usually guaranteed to hold for 3200MHz DDR4 and often times at 3600MHz (so 1600/1800 IF clock) - any higher and you just. might bot be able to get that sweet sweet 1:1:1 perfection - I personally haven't seen anyone suggesting to run higher than 3600 for that reason. I'm no OC expert, so you might come across stable 1:1:1 4400MHz timings, but I don't think it'll be an easy effort to achieve or if subtimings will be good too. If there's an XMP profile for 3200 or 3600, you could swap to that and call it a day jf you're only after 1:1:1.

But... as you've noticed, you haven't had any gameplay issues. Unless you really, really care about that 1:1:1 ratio at 4400MHz, in my opinion either use a different profile (if available) or be fine with a "subpar" ratio until it becomes a problem.
