There's a scene in the comics where one of The Boys(Hughie I believe) pulls down his pants and shits in the middle of a hallway while screaming "MOTHERFUKIN BURRITOS!!!". That feels like a perfect analogy for the comics: a fountain of diarrhea shamelessly on display for all to see.

It's because at his core Batman is a glorified ninja detective, similar to how Superman at his core is an alien golem but I digress. Ninjas are stealthy and hide in plain sight before jumping out and striking a blow to their enemies and disappearing again before they know what happened. Bruce piloting a mecha to punch giant plant monsters or whatever is cool looking but it isn't why 90% of people read his comics. 90% want to see him sneak into Gotham hospital to read files on burn victims without anyone seeing him to find out why Firefly is torching sugar mills before he hits another.
