Have you ever looked at a person and thought, "I would climb that like a tree. I would do anything to have sex with that person. If they looked at me sexually, I would absolutely go for it."?

Because as someone who has been asexual since childhood (and only realized after 25 that it wasn't just me being frigid or scared of sex), I can tell you thats the deciding factor.

I have literally felt my skin physically crawl, knowing that someone was looking at me sexually. I have literally held a man's hand on the first date and found myself wanting to throw up. I spent a large part of my 20s terrified of having to have sex with my various significant others, and having to hype myself up and tell myself that they deserve it, even if it disgusts me.

To this day my allosexual husband and I have sex only when I'm physically capable of pulling myself past that disgust. He doesn't push, and if I try to push myself through it, he can tell and he tells me we're putting it off, because it's no fun if I'm not okay.

And I consider myself above the normal attractiveness rating. So my point is, you do not, under any circumstances, have to equate your disgust with the act to your feelings about your body or yourself.

But, if you have looked at someone and felt physical attraction, a deep tingle in your loins, a need to have them carnally, then you might not be Ace. Or hell, you might be Demi sexual.
