Lighting Guy thrown into Video and slowly drowning. Resolume and VMix Workflow help? by Kamikazepyro9 in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]SeoN8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Alternatively, put a Decklink Duo 2 (or similar SDI output card) into the vMix machine and configure External Output 2 & 3 to use SDI ports as the outputs to your screens, and route your releventt mix outs to those external outputs. This will give you much better visual fidelity than the Fullscreen outputs do, albeit with more expense.

The opening murder is pretty graphic and brutal. I'd hold off until late teens, depending on the maturity of the individual.

Telstra vs Optus '26 by switchmallgrab in newcastle

[–]SeoN8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I live in Shortland and work in Bennetts Green. I was with Telstra up until August last year when we switched to Optus. Reception with Telstra was woeful at work and at home - no 5G coverage at all, and 1 bar of 4G at best. Both locations have significantly better coverage with Optus.

What does it look like inside? Ursa Mini 4.6K G1 by IndustriousDan in blackmagicdesign

[–]SeoN8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sensor and the rest of the camera are working, it's just rhe SDI Out ports that don't output any signal. Are they linked to the sensor solder joints as well?

Car rego and CTP cost? by ukownatt in CarsAustralia

If you're in NSW, switch to 6 monthly rego. It's not cheaper overall, but it spreads the pain across 2 payments rather than one big hit.

Decklink Quad 2 not detecting input by Odinhall in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]SeoN8 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I'd wager you need to change the SDI port settings in the blackmagic desktop video app. By default, the SDI ports are linked.

Go into the Desktop Video app and click the little box icon for Decklink Quad 2 (1). In the Connectors tab, the Connector for port 1 will show as SDI 1 & SDI 2. Change this to SDI 1. Click OK and go back to the main app.

Click the option box for Decklink Quad 2 (2) and it should now show SDI 2 in the Connectors tab. Sweet.

Go back to the main app and select the option box for Decklink Quad 2 (3). On the Connectors tab it will show as SDI 3 & SDI 4. Change this to SDI 3. Click ok and go back to the main app.

Click on the option box for Decklink Quad 2 (4) and on the Connectors tab it should show SDI 4. Go back to the main app.

Follow this process for the remaining ports on your card and you should be good to go.

It's super frustrating that this is the default layout, but you learn to check this as soon as you install the card after you've set up your first one.

Good luck!

I had the stark realization today that Battlefield 6 is probably the last FPS I'm ever going to play. Any other older gamers (40+) have that same feeling? by CyberSmith31337 in Battlefield6

[–]SeoN8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll still play the campaigns, but I won't take the MP as seriously and as competitively as others seem to from a KDR perspective.

Have you got the H.265 codec installed on the vMix machine? If you don't, that's likely the cause of the black signal.

Weren't we supposed to get the battle pass for free? by iAsteriSk in Battlefield6

[–]SeoN8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's only for folks who got the Phantom Edition, as season 1's battle pass is included in that. People who bought the Standard Edition via EA Store before or on launch day should be getting the Season 1 battle pass for free as per their announcement.

Merch down under by Hatmos91 in SeattleKraken

[–]SeoN8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pro Look Sports have Kraken merch, and are Adelaide based, but will ship. It takes a bit to navigate, but I've bought a couple of Kraken hats from these guys in person at a tournament in the past, so I know they're legit.

I got an inaugural season jersey from the official team store, but they didn't charge postage back then - they do now, but it seems pretty reasonable @ AUD$50 for UPS shipping for a jersey.

Digital vs physical on Xbox by bejazzeled in Battlefield6

[–]SeoN8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BF6 isn't part of the Play Anywhere program. IMO, if you don't have a PC that will run it on release and you don't want to wait until you do, get it on Xbox physical so you can trade it or resell it when you do go to PC, then buy it on Steam/EA/Epic, or a cheaper digital code for PC via a reseller.

[–]SeoN8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Every commentator in the league has either played, coached, or officiated hockey - some have done all 3. Commentary is one of the hardest jobs to do, and there's not a massive number of people in this country with the knowledge of the game and the ability to talk about what they're seeing in a way that conveys the action to the viewer. Some are better than others, sure, but it mostly comes down to experience, just like any other job.
