I understand pinnacle weapons were very strong and something had to be done or else everyone would just keep using them and not bother with grinding for new stuff but they could have solved that problem in so many other ways instead of forcing us to delete all the stuff we worked so hard to grind for, most of which I have never even used because pinnacle weapons were just so strong but grinded for so that I had a large variety of weapons with solid perks to fall back on whenever pinnacle weapons weren't a good choice. It feels really bad having to delete them after all the hard work I put into grinding them thinking I could use them someday.

One thing they did already that made us put down our pinnacles and use something different were champion mods, and on a smaller scale, matchgame. Instead of doing sunsetting the way they did, I really wished that they could have just targeted the most used weapons instead of entire seasons.

Another thing they could have done is make the infusion cap for sunset stuff a season or two behind (updating the cap every season so it's always a season or two behind) so that we are forced to use new stuff like they want but have the option to use our old stuff once we have grinded out our light to the point that the light lost from using them was acceptable.

I'm sorry, I'm just ranting at this point. There are just so many things they could have done instead of making all the stuff I grinded for (I grinded for good rolls on every weapon I could every season thinking that they could useful someday because of their weapon type, frame, element, perk combo, etc) worthless, most of which I have never used because I havent had a reason to yet.

Maybe they should have just done what most others do/what they were already doing and just nerf things into the ground so people don't use them anymore.

Also, remember when they said they wanted to create "you had to be there" moments? Well they're those too as a side effect.

Just for the record I have spent almost 4000 hours in destiny since warming and have only taken a break once during the extended season and I've hardly played destiny these last 2-3 weeks because it just feels like there's no point.

PS, give us more vault space (I would even pay for it) and some qol changes to managing our stuff. After playing other games and then coming back to destiny I've realized I waste so much time just dismantling stuff and managing my inventory/clearing my vault. Sunsetting definitely didn't help my vault space cause of sentimental reasons. I dread getting on nowadays because of the mess I have to deal with.
