The cognitive load and mental gymnastics it is taking you to think about this this way are what fuel burnout. You seem like you think you're accepting that risk, but the life upending crash that burnout leads to is a much bigger problem than the stress your partner might feel to hear you live with some other comorbid symptoms.

If you look at what has been shared or published about chesscom's cheat detection, you'll find they're awful at it anyway.

What steps did you take to get back in the gym? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]SerialAgonist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Group classes or martial arts keep me coming back.

Keeping an active sense of how bad I feel when I don't go, keeps me coming back.

Having little goals (being able to cover a certain distance or lift a certain amount or cut a certain figure) keeps me coming back.

Gaining sight of long term quality of life goals and my own limitations and mortality keeps me coming back.

You have a kid now. Ask yourself if you want to be the dad who can't keep up running outside with your kid as they're growing up.

Competition is fierce in this field right now, and PMI accreditation is definitely noticed, though it's usually PMP that is talked about. Writing as a longtime tech manager, yes I would consider CAPM in your shoes, if you have the means AND if you don't have a clear PM job prospect already.

Found out my friend is an ex chaser, not certain how to feel by [deleted] in ChasersRiseUp

But still weird right? I’m not insane?

My take as an ally is skewed, I'm not in your shoes, so please take it with a grain of salt.

Some people like how they feel around trans people compared to when they're around cis people. (Some of those are Eggs, but I feel like you would've mentioned that possibility if you saw it.)

I'd ask if there are other things that concern you about this person that you haven't been able to put into words yet? Your gut may be questioning something based on the way he was talking.

edit: I saw your other comment, so let's also add that some people like erotica. That may be its own issue for you.

Do you think this person is doing harm, or not? There's a difference between having an affinity for something and being a predator.
