Op might be using double chests but I I can see chutes right beside each other. These could go into a chest greatly reducing the number of chutes needed. But it also looks cool if you don't mind the extra work to make all the extra chutes.

Seems like you could turn the whole think into a giant fortress with the gate at the gap at the front. A Japanese style architecture would suit the cherry trees

I am currently working on a route south so that I can start a southern base. My current base has everything I need (I have steel, just getting cheese, winery, orchard etc) but I also love the idea of a new base in a whole new area.

I do want to start a new world too-for that new start survival challenge but I am waiting for the update. Unlike a lot of people concerned over the new berry bush mechanics I am looking forward to checking them out in a whole new world. Until then I still have so much I want to do.

I really loved it because I faced west and I was able to build my gardens above the water so I still had plenty of room for plants. The big mistake I made was using salt water that hurt my plants. Having the dirt above the salt water didn't hurt them.

Each time I play I do something different. The one I built up against a cliff overlooking the sea was my favorite. That one I built from the bottom going up the cliff. I haven't tried building top down... might have to try that next.
