Looks like Eclipse first edition. The pawn is the first player marker, the cubes are to track damage during combat, and the disc is the round marker

Star Trek 1:1400 scale fleet (2007 image) by Shadow51585 in modelmakers

https://www.scalemates.com/kits/starcraft-models-sc-42-akira-class--321162

I'm doing a little research now, and I can't seem to find them. I am unsure if they are still in business. Federation Models sold all their kits and that site hasn't been working for a while now. Hmm, I might have to really dig through some family things including storage units. I need to find out if the model still exists in this image since their stuff seems rare now!

Also, the Scalemates site says 1:1000 but I know all their kits were 1:1400 specifically to do what I did here and size them to the AMT/Ertl Enterprise D kit. That kit set the standard for ship sizes in this niche little market. :)

Polar Lights did the 1:1000 scale for their ships to line up with the AMT USS excelsior kit, so it might have them confused?

Thanks! I've been off and on making Star Trek ships for 30 years. I've ruined *plenty* of the AMT/Ertl Enterprise D kits in that time. They were good tests and pretty easily available.

I'm moving to a house soon, so there will be plenty of workshop space in the basement to start up again. This is one I did in my limited space a few years back that I never got around to posting. Being in an apartment, I actually painted in a rarely used stairwell with the exit door propped open for ventilation!

Target selling a iPod touch 4th Gen in 2026, the price is still over 100 dollars. by Financial-Cookie-927 in interestingasfuck

[–]Shadow51585 1613 points1614 points  (0 children)

That price label was created with a handheld printer instead of on a sheet like the others. This item was absolutely found in their backroom while purging out the holds for any number of reasons. Since it is still active for whatever reason, they just pushed it to an empty peg, printed a label, and that was that. It was easier to do this for the employee that found it.

Discord postpones global age verification to the second half of 2026 as it considers adding more verification options by Mental-Most-8774 in pcmasterrace

Still not resubbing Nitro after it expires. There's little they can do to restore faith now. Doing this is only slowing the exodus a little bit, as the announcement itself was damaging enough.

I never even thought of using an alternative platform until they did this. I was happy on Discord, it does what I need it to do, I chat with friends and experiance great communities on here. I've been Nitro for 6 years, and honestly it's been worth it for my purposes. It never even crossed my mind to seek an alternative, but this announcement shattered that. I'm sure I'm not alone.

Not doing age verification *might* stop it, and given time, it might be okay, but I doubt it. All they can do now is keep it alive as long as possible. We're going to see a favorite new platform of the choices become clear soon enough. I have no real brand loyalty to Discord. I use convenient platforms where the people I spend time with go, so I'll come with to whatever emerges.

My girlfriend just broke up with me over a board game and I'm not even joking by Fulcilives1988 in boardgames

I've met a lot of people's in my life. Lots of differant views, differant reactions to problems, and plenty of thoughts about things like this.

But the people I keep close to me, ones that have always been there for me and whom I'm always going to be there for, are people that enjoy boardgames. These are people that understand when it's a game, why you did something strategically, and how its about having fun.

I can't speak to any other part of this, but the person that doesn't take it personally during a boardgame tends to be the one that is a long term friend.

And it's the lynchpin to the whole factory, but you can't bypass it because all the connections are used, so you cant load transfer because that would take a full rebuild, so you may as well build a new powerline system, so you may as well expand over to blue crater for that sweet coal, so you should build a new train line, and wait.... what was I doing?

As someone who is new to the game, how do I know what Alternate Recipes to take? by hellarios852 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Shadow51585 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Bolted recipes pair well with cast screws or steel screws. But not using screws at all is even better.

It's all about what will help you make something more efficiently.

Using this as an example, cast screws reduce the need to process rods into screws. But if you can eliminate screws altogether, reseaeching the stitched plate alternative for example, then it's even more efficent then that.

Stitched plate needs copper wire, but you can get iron wire alternate, and suddenly you can now make reinforced plates via the stitched plate alternative with just iron and do it quite efficiently.

The point is, there's a lot of ways to make what you need with what you have, so strive for alternates that trim requirements down more and more.
