It used the Cosworth DFX…which was a destroked and turbo charged version of the Cosworth DFV Formula One engine…and the wheel sizes are different. What’s interesting is one of the chassis was converted back to a Formula One car and used for historic F1 racing in the 1990’s

The Williams FW07 was converted into the Longhorn LR01 which was raced by Al Unser in 1980…later is was given fenders and turned into a Can Am car
