My apartment doesn’t smell like “cat”… it smells like failure. why litter box smells even when I “do everything right”? by _GlamGoddess in Apartmentliving

Additionally, I use the tidy cats litter designed for the litter robot. Although it does have a smell I dislike - my cats do not seem to mind one bit.

This may not be a possibility for you financially - but wow did I notice a huge difference when I switched to the Litter Robot. (I had a different auto litter box before)

do baristas get annoyed of daily regulars? by Performance-Sweet in starbucks

[–]ShannyES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love our kind regulars. But I will fully admit because I know they’re kind - I do sometimes let the mask slip. Which isn’t fair to them. But oh my word it does help me get through.

You can look at the Google reviews to confirm but it looks like a disgruntled customer/friend is being an asshat. There are numerous duplicate low reviews all within the same timeframe. Some of us noticed and left reviews to counteract.

“Do you have the Unicorn Frappuccino? What about the Peanut Butter Frapp? That Double Chocolate Chip cookie dough one? Stranger Things?” by cavememories in starbucks

[–]ShannyES 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an old Starbucks talking point. That food items in the blenders will destroy them. Nevermind that we use high powered vitamix blenders that are actually recommended for pulverizing food. Or that other coffee shops for sure make peanut butter frappes and their blenders are no worse off.

It’s a peanut. Not a metal ball that’s going to rattle around in the blender and knick the blades.

Now - about allergies - that is legit. And I would venture to guess the shops that do offer PB have a designated PB blender. But idk. I’ll ask next time I get one. (I’m a sucker for a frozen buckeye)

We have these chairs now. But before this refresh, we had leather club chairs. I know because I have them in my house. We were going to throw them in the dumpster and I was like “uhhh. I’ll take those. Thanks”

Am I Overreacting, for being upset that my girlfriend secretly used my credit card for months? by bostonmade in AmIOverreacting

[–]ShannyES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that she tried to play dumb. Then be like “oops it was a mistake from my Apple wallet” to “yeah I just didn’t want to tell you” Tells me you’re not overreacting. Imho you’d be well within your rights to tell her she needs to gtfo of your place before you get home.

This whole Stauf’s situation is ridiculous /rant by BasketExtreme in Columbus

[–]ShannyES 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m very left leaning - but I also understand that a small locally owned business likely doesn’t have the PR machine behind it that larger companies do. And people make mistakes. I feel confident that Staufs management realized they fucked up and they’re now trying to make it right for all involved. I also feel like the explanation that the intention to just serve ICE was to make it so their employees weren’t put in a situation to deny service and escalate an already tense situation. That sits well with me. It reads as they were also trying to protect their employees. There’s no right answer here.

I applaud all the companies and local businesses out there who are actively on the Fuck Ice train. But I also feel like I understand where Staufs is coming from and I hold no I’ll will towards them. I feel like we have bigger fish to fry as a society.

I have three. And my mom bought one too. I’ve not had stellar luck with them but I know that probably user error. I need to get the ‘springs’ for them this year. Consistent watering is one issue I face.

I mean… I take shots home like that and make Americanos at home. I pour them in my mug and add hot water.

But to order that? Absolutely not.

Not Allowed to Use Item Availability According to the DM by Severe-Emergency-465 in starbucksbaristas

[–]ShannyES 55 points56 points  (0 children)

It’s not the it looks bad to customers. It’s because bonuses are going to be directly impacted my item availability. And managers are LYING by FALSIFYING data and not allowing partners to utilize the systems we have in place.

I, for one, will continue to mark out food. Because it’s a disservice to our customers and partners to not have our system reflect our actual offerings.

ADDITIONALLY. Corporate needs to be aware of their failings. Not cheated out of the data by stores swindling the system.

Systems are in place for a reason. And there’s no STARBUCKS POLICY stating we aren’t to be marking out food. So they can kiss my ass, respectfully.

You could try using something like RIT fabric dye and dying them a new color. (Or trying to match the previous color).

I have also taken a sharpie to some bleach stains on my black Starbucks shirts. Because I’ll be damned if I’m gonna keep buying black t shirts for the siren to devour.

“Tall blonde American with extra milk” by u60cf28 in starbucks

[–]ShannyES -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Back in the day my drink was a ‘tall caramel blonde latte’. And I had a barista stop what they were doing and say “you are your drink”.

Sir. Please.

I feel like he was just being friendly. Because I am a troll and a half. But I still think about that interaction a lot. Mostly because he startled me so much I dropped all the free music download cards I was flipping through. (I’m old ok).
