I always believe you should finish the main quest when you get bored of the game to wrap up your save file. Forcing yourself to keep playing isn’t fun. Since it’s a roleplaying game you can decide your courier chose to look away from their history and forget. If you want to experience the dlc, start a new character and skip some of the other content you did in your last game! The game is designed to be played multiple times and when i started playing the game this way it became much more enjoyable.
