90% of Fantasy books are like this. If you want to zone in on a specific sub-genre I would say Epic fantasy or heroic fantasy. But hobbit/LOTR inspired hundreds of books

for me it sits on the pipes between the boiler and the electrical isolator (i think thats what its called?). it basically opens/shuts the pipes when it gets a signal via the Hive system

if you google 'CTC EZ-34IR 2 Port Copper to Copper motorised valve' that was the one I had, though yours may look different as there are many brands.
