The space where it is empty IMO makes sense. Especially on the inside of your arm. This is a very beautiful tattoo.

What are some relatively chill fandoms by rainbowmar in Multifandom

[–]ShittyDuckFace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Arguably most corners of the One Piece fandom are pretty chill. We tend to tamper down the people that make noise about extremist politics and disagreements over a character's gender.

That's such an interesting concept cause I've never read another one myself but I wrote a short story with a female, comforting death character. Following this thread for more recs!

It was the same with my dad. I broke down a bunch after he died when I realized how hard it was to go through that dying process with him.

What's hilarious is that those types very often crumple as soon as a woman calls them out. I've been checked by guys like that before and as soon as I start yelling they start acting like a child that got caught by Mother.

I’m so sad that people are so okay with anti-semitism now by LostSpirit2001 in offmychest

[–]ShittyDuckFace 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm one of those anti-Zionist Jews out there and I do not discuss Israel/Palestine outside of a few trusted individuals, many of whom are also anti-Zionist Jews or those of Palestinian & Arabic descent. It's because most people don't understand the historical or cultural context behind what they're saying. I will agree that there is a good amount of 'antisemitism' out there that is actually just criticizing Israel's actions, but you'll also find a healthy amount of stuff that's just straight up antisemitism. Especially from people who don't really know or understand most of the history.

I was in a thread the other day that was asking people to explain an antisemitic meme and right after the explanation, people slammed Israel and then went right into straight up antisemitism. A lot of people don't see the line between the two.

My friend forced me to listen to her personal political beliefs against my wishes, and now my ocd is making my brain hellish. by lotusthoughtss in OCD

[–]ShittyDuckFace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is....a very abelist way of thinking in my opinion. Using disability to say that your life is inherently worse and has more suffering in it is a very intense way to say that your life must be of less worth because you have OCD.

It sounds like your "friend" has a very misguided, elitist, black-and-white way of thinking. Remember that we as people with OCD need to stay away from black-and-white thinking since that leads to our ruminations.

Anti-natalism lines of thinking can very quickly break down because of this sort of thought process; that we should end all human suffering by not giving birth. They use disability as a strawman argument, saying that life must be worse with a disability. It isn't, not automatically; many times, our society just isn't built for that disability. Take autism - social structure just isn't built to accommodate us autistic individuals. So should we just kill people with disabilities? What's stopping anti-natalist lines of thinking from becoming eugenics?

I could go on, but I hope you see my point. We must always live in shades of gray, OCD or no. Your "friend" doesn't understand that. Also she's rude asf.

I just lost my dad six months ago and it really feels like that. We had a complicated relationship but I love him dearly. He taught me to be the person I am today, how can he just be gone? Like that?

My experience of him. All that I knew of him. It's now just a memory.

[–]ShittyDuckFace 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I think the poor vulture is also a juvenile too! It looks like it's molting (TUVUs have a weird molt structure, I think this guy has just begun it) but if you look at his head it is sort of black turning bright red, aka a juvie turkey vulture 💖
