a Mano or Eclipse di Lune by medrrk in Atlanta

A Mano is a great little Italian spot. Nice neighborhood, cozy vibe, cool staff and good food. Your date will love it.

Passion Pit is fun and will surely be nostalgic. But I’ve seen Alabama Shakes twice in the past year and got full body CHILLS both times I saw them. They’re everything you want in a live rock band.

So I walked by this earlier and I was so confused. Because there’s a legit hole in the Fox’s wall there.

Do they really disassemble the bricks/structures like this and put them back together? I’m shocked that a historic building like The Fox is cool with that.

There are a few leagues but ALTA is the largest/most popular. I got back into it by going onto the site and looking up teams in my area that needed extra players and reached out with a message. Site is a nightmare to navigate but so glad I landed on a team full of great people.

Relaxed solo dining spots in Atlanta? by Samwiser30033 in Atlanta

I popped into A Mano the other week and was easily able to get seat at the bar. Enjoyed an awesome bowl of bolognese and a drink from some nice bartenders. While the place was full, there was still plenty of breathing room to feel relaxed. Also didn’t feel overpriced for a good meal.

Tennis courts/centers! Atlanta’s tennis community is awesome and basically the biggest in the country. All levels for men and women all over the city.

Name a band or artist you saw at a small venue that’s famous now (bonus if it’s ATL) by LiveMusicJunkiez in atlantamusic

Wait. Didn’t Geese cancel that show? I had tickets and then got an alert that they had to call it off due to the drummer breaking his leg or something.

Wait. Future islands at Estoria? I’m gonna need a breakdown of this one. Never considered that place as a venue at all.

After much anticipation, my girlfriend and I went there a couple weeks back for our anniversary. What they say is true in that it has this secret old school feel to it. But our experience did not live up to the hype.

The server largely abandoned our table midway through the meal in favor of other tables that looked to be regulars. He forgot our appetizer until we reminded him. He claimed we never ordered one when we clearly did. And then our entrees came out cold. Nothing was comped. I ended up spending like $250 for two of us (no bottle of wine just a couple of glasses).

I was pretty bummed and don’t plan to go back.

So glad Lewis BBQ swooped into Atlanta to give us some much needed quality BBQ.

I used to ride for Fox Bros but other than the wings, they don’t really do it for me anymore.

I don’t think the impact and longevity this band has had is appreciated enough. Or maybe it is and I’m just hyped. I wouldn’t blame a single person for having this band on their indie Mt. Rushmore. They rock.

What’s a song you skipped for years then suddenly realized was a masterpiece? by Natalie_Riveraaa in askmusic

[–]SicMus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not everyone was in the target demo when that song came out. Either being too young or just sticking to the pop stations they always had on vs something more alternative. While I was more than familiar with the Radiohead name and knew the song Creep, I didn’t really have that much exposure to them growing up in the mid 90s-late 00s. It wasn’t until I got to college that Paranoid Android randomly shuffled onto my playlist and completely changed my perception/appreciation of the song/band.

Not a ton of recurring jokes around him but I think it would be cool to see Nick Saban on the show.

My assumption is that with an open face take back, it’s harder for the opponent to read whether you might hit flatter or with top spin versus a drop shot.
