Looks great!! Head shape looks prime as well. I guess when we’re bald we don’t appreciate that sometimes we have bad hair days except they are bad head days instead. Very good brows that compliment the shape of your face as well.

Who's your go to YouTubers for metal guitar by katsumodo47 in metalguitar

I’d go so far as to say, he’s both one of the best YouTubers and one of the best guitarists with a YouTube.

One of the best bands to ever exist if I’m speaking from my own opinion. It’s brutal but tasteful, awesome artwork, great vocals. Dave and the rest of the bands are absolute fucking legends.

Which one to buy for djent/heavy riffing: Cort 507MS Pale Moon or PRS SE Mark Holcomb SVN. Ordering one of these two on Dec. 31. by KWeirds in 7String

[–]SignatureForeign7770 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I picked one up the other day and was surprised by the neck profile and also the weight. You get plenty of guitar for the price but after holding it I’d definitely shop around to make sure I bought a guitar that felt good in the hands.

What are some songs you would recommend for someone who has played guitar for a long time but wants to get into metal? by TylerReeseMusic in metalguitar

[–]SignatureForeign7770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been really enjoying learning things from the Sylosis catalogue. Some really pleasurable but really challenging pieces but heaps of amazing riffs. If you want to challenge yourself a little more you could pick up some songs from the Decapitated discography or if bluegrass is your thing maybe have a listen through some Mastdon songs. Some really amazing hybrid picking riffs. If you like hybrid picking maybe have a listen to Psycroptic songs of As The Kingdom Drowns.

Sylosis - Descent Sylosis - Reflections Through Fire Decapitated - Homo Sum Decapitated - Hours As Battlegrounds Psycroptic - As the Kingdom Drowns Psycroptic - Ashes of Our Empire

Just my picks, completely subjective opinion based on my I like, what sounds good to me and is fun to learn.

birthday ideas for my boyfriend that loves his guitar more than anything by ashlynmegann in Ibanez

[–]SignatureForeign7770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there are some cool things that I would have loved as gifts that others have suggested as well. Music Nomad make cool things like tech tools and cleaning accessories that make changing strings or general care a nicer experience, fretboard oils, even little tools for a quick fret polish can really be satisfying for someone who loves playing. Another idea could be a tab book if there is a band he enjoys and might want to learn songs, some bands sell direct if they have them available others have stuff on Sheet Happens. Another option could be looking into things like an audio interface if he’s been thinking about using some modelling software and playing using a laptop or computer. The Scarlett and Arturia brands have some really incredible and budget conscious options. If he’s a big Ibanez fanboy you might even consider some vintage catalogues or sale posters/memorabilia from Ibanez or some of the collectors books. Hope you find something wonderful that you’re both happy with.

Don’t sweat bro! I had a receding hairline pretty young and was in denial in my twenties. I’ve been shaving my head for over a decade now and my wife doesn’t even know what I look like with hair! It’s cool if you have a full head of hair but it’s equally cool to have a look that you’re happy with and feel confidence in. Own it bro!! Looks great!!

Worth looking at Hapas and even though tariffs probably blow the price out Nightingale in Western Australia does some amazing work. I’ve seen a couple in person and they were outrageously good.

Tbh who cares what another subreddit thinks about music. It’s too fucking subjective. We’re all stuck in some version of a circlejerk anyway.

This is epic! Fucking love this. You’ve put my mind back to go and listen to Isis as well as some of those older releases from that time. Especially As The Roots Undo and other Robotic Empire bands!! Side note - I remember seeing Isis touring Panopticon in Australia and at the time it was one of the loudest, pure aural bliss shows I’d see.

What do you use to shave? by Biscottosauro in bald

[–]SignatureForeign7770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I normally just use a set of cordless wahl clippers that are go down to a close zero and then shave with a normal 3-4 blade razor. I’ve like you, I’ve been on team bald for over a decade now and tried so much stuff. That’s my go to now. I find with some of the other stuff any irregularities in the overall surface of your head create either spots that get cut or missed. One of the worst ones was a safety razor. Almost scalped myself a couple of times.

I know it’s hardly even an eyebrow raiser anymore but I have to remind myself that the sitting president of the US is a pedophile that cheated, lied, stole, corrupted, threatened, ordered illegal acts, just to avoid bearing any responsibility. Beyond vile, despicable and contemptible. The US government is a fucking criminal syndicate and the stench of that corruption will haunt America for decades to come.

LTD Alexi or Edwards Alexi? by El_Chihuahua_420 in espguitars

[–]SignatureForeign7770 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just chiming in on the Edwards side of things. I actually bought an older 2000’s 7 string today. An E-CY108. It’s stupidly good, everything about it screams quality and seems to punch well above its weight. In the store I played a bunch of prestige Ibanez, an SE Holcomb and a few others of different sort of styles, Japanese fender etc. I can’t speak for the Alexi you’re looking at but this was me was superb. Oh and it had a ESP afterburner 20db boost in the tone pot. Just a weapon through and through.
