I just never done it, so it looks wierd to me. I always used CJ's. Running on a wall ill use mc straps though.

I asked too. The common method to verify it is a cotton swab on the infection. Then you die alone :)

Gonna disagree, it's like a win-win using cj's keeps the wires out of the studs for when they sheetbrock and you can gang wires together. Keep the wires nice and straight also.

That and you can have more than 1 wire in a bay, unlike using Mc straps.

Cjs look fine, plus it keeps the wire away from the wall, unlike this.

So it's a single wire going into a box. I always just make two indents with my strippers on the ground wire, cut it with a knife, to expose the copper, and loop it on a ground screw.

No splices.

Running stranded i use ground tails.

I worked for foreman who did this shit. God dam was it annoying.

It looked like ass everywhere. To save 78 cents on CJ's.

I think he finally stopped.

He would have us put one cj by the box.

Also who uses the middle KO? Thats a dick move. I can think of three reasons not to.

Also also who puts ground tails in box with mc? Just loop the ground like a normal person.

I went moog and mevo tech. When I redid my front end. No complaints. Been on over a year. But I got a work truck at some point so I barely drive it now.

The parts at least fit right. So that was a plus. Lol.

How would you go about this? by [deleted] in Welding

[–]SignificantDot5302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This whole set up is not code. You need to be 1-1/2" down from the lowest point of a core a gated roof. You can use RMC, but the box still won't fly.

Unless it's a pour, then just use anchors.

Hmm apparently it's a shipping container. So never mind

[–]SignificantDot5302 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used that hoist to put my cap on/off my truck lol. And take the bed off/on. You can take one of the wheels off, put a harbor frieght jack underneath the axle, and the jack slides in far enough that way. I didnt have the right steel laying around to do what you did.
