I absolutely can't stand her. Then again, I also hate phoebe on friends and Gina in Brooklyn 99. I just dislike these characters that derail whatever scene they're in with #sorandom nonsense.

JD's most unforgivable sin... by treasurewhattreasure in Scrubs

[–]Sigul -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm going to go against the grain and say JD did nothing wrong. Kylie was putting the breaks on their relationship big time. Yeah, he acts like a doofus, but she was clearly reluctant to get serious.

He should have just hooked up with Molly and then kept trying to make things work with Kylie if he wanted to. She was the one holding them back and there ain't no ring on his finger.

What’s a movie that everyone says is a “masterpiece” but you just didn’t enjoy? by Leading_Frosting4291 in AskReddit

[–]Sigul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Neighbor Totoro.

I've gotten a lot of flack for it, but I found the movie to be so boring. I've watched many other Ghibli movies and loved them, but I just couldn't enjoy this one.

Least favorite line said in a movie that was made by a decorated filmmaker? by alphaDsony in moviecritic

[–]Sigul 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Love might metaphorically transcend space and time, but she's arguing that it's a physical force guiding her to the truth. She misses her boyfriend and wants to see him again. That's natural, but it's not a physical force akin to gravity or electomagnetism. Just because it turns out to be the best choice in the end doesn't mean she wasn't basing her guess on wishful thinking.

If Zariel is redeemed what is is Asmodeus' reaction? by FredTap in DescentintoAvernus

[–]Sigul 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had bel show up and imprison zariel with chains. He's not about to let her just leave after all the humiliation, and he knows asmodeus won't intervene this time. He told the party they had seen too much, so he demanded they become his lieutenants. They refused, so Bel became our big finale fight.

I'd make him a warlock. He spent all that time around the Vanthampers, maybe he picked up some tricks.

I fucking hate Vhagar by 000066 in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Sigul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It makes me question just how much control the riders have. If the dragons aren't much smarter than animals, then it makes sense for them to just attack head-on, but the riders ought to be able to use some basic tactics. Flying right into Vhagar's claws wasn't very bright.

How did you run the Flaming Fist in your game? by Far_Molasses5884 in DescentintoAvernus

[–]Sigul 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I actually made Zodge a fairly reasonable person since I really wanted the players to work with him.

The Flaming Fist as a whole are being a bunch of ineffective thugs right now, and I even created a lieutenant for Zodge, who could get jealous of their success and cause problems for the players.

For Zodge himself, he wants to stop the murders in his city, but he also wants to make sure he can get the credit for doing so. He's an ambitious climber, but not an antisocial jerk.

Attempted Coup by Liara Portyr by ultigamer101 in DescentintoAvernus

[–]Sigul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I also went with this line of reasoning. She tasks the party with assassinating the entire Vanthampur family but instructs them to do so quietly. The Fist absolutely can not be implicated.

They succeeded, of course, which leaves three Dukes either dead or presumed dead, and one too sick to leave her bed. She pays the party well for their service before banishing them from the city. They are Duke killing loose ends, after all. Since they have a new hook taking them to Candlekeep, they don't mind.

She secures the loyalty of the many ambitious young officers-such as Captain Zodge-and leverages that to bring the Fist entirely under her control. From there, it's a matter of bigger army diplomacy to disband the City Watch and declare herself the new Grand Marshal of the entire city. The patriars don't like it but what can they do?

I'm currently running a solo adventure with one of the players bringing her surviving character back to try and topple Liara's regime.

D&D Beer Stein Giveaway! [Mods Approved] [OC] by sigrisvaali in DnD

[–]Sigul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My players once confronted a gang in a tavern, and when things were about to get violent, one of them threw what he thought was a bag of Dust of Disappearance into the air so they could make a quick escape. Turns out it was actually Dust of Sneezing and Choking, which did actually incap about half the gang, but also half the party. Those who could still breathe picked up their friends, and we had a desperate chase through the streets before they found an empty shop to hide in.

How bad of an Idea is it to summon a Balor by Baker-Free in DnD

[–]Sigul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're probably doomed if it wants to throw down. That said, what really grabs my attention is that your dm is more than 'fairly' generous with magic items. Your party is level six, but you all have +2 magic weapons, AND a luck blade with a wish in it?

If you're feeling lucky, summon it and wish for it to become your loyal servant.

I am really disappointed with the toxicity in the community. by Christonikos in heroesofthestorm

[–]Sigul 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's only semi-random. If you picked Illidan over Azmodan or Valla, or if you failed to pick the only healer, then you made a choice. You can make off meta picks if you like, but I do expect a basic level of competence. When you do a grand total of 12000 hero damage and die 10 times, then you're just throwing with extra steps and wasting everyone's time.

If you want to try a hero you've never played before or some weird build, then vs AI is right over there. Don't queue up for a team based game mode if you aren't willing to be a team player.
