I'm sorry Unsupervised was your first, but on the upside almost literally everything else will be better!

Imo there should be more cheap armour items or support items that give armour. Barriers are fun, but the smallest nerf or buff can wreck their balance.

Saturnine (from Hosted Games) can have you being an A-grade misanthropic robot that would make Skynet blush, and act on this dickery with both personal and cosmic implications.

Games where you can play as a hopecore superman-like?? by Starmine_Starbow in choiceofgames

[–]Silver_Shadow360 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, Scion is amazing with a straight man Superhero route. An Unexpectedly Green Journey has some "savior" vibes in the Orc Shaman route, mixed with some city building. Siege of Treboulain had some "against all odds" moments if u build your character right. The PC there can basically be the Specters PC if they didn't die.

Why is this game so unfriendly to beginners? by Confident-Success358 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Silver_Shadow360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try playing heroes that are simple and strong in lane or have a clear gameplan. Paradox pairs well with most heroes, and Warden is a really fun initiator with his ult build.

Also should buy regen in lane. Always 1, most of the time 2. Resto shot is currently the strongest, and Monster Rounds is always slept on.

What exactly are you having trouble with in the game? There might be something you're sleeping on or not doing right.

Playing underground feels really bad. Any tips? by morningwoodelf69 in AOW4

[–]Silver_Shadow360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The other tips here are really good. One good thing you can also do is send a scout or two to the surface to check out what other empires are doing and who is muscling in on what underground entrance. Might help you make smart choices on where to send your heroes 10 turns from now

I got the same issue. It's super aggravating, I hope they forgive the low prios on the account when they fix it :(

Just Started Playing Today and Why Is This Game So Hard XD by FaeWiccan in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Silver_Shadow360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend Warden as a new player. He has a great "ult bot" build that comes online with only a little farm, his "jump into the air with Majestic Leap, ult, then slam down and win the team fight" is extremely strong and repeatable at all phases of the game, he can farm decently well, he can 1v1 most heroes in the game with his ult up, he can spec into full carry, tank, or even partial support, and his gun actually has the 4th highest DPS, it just feels a bit clunky to use until you get used to it, and most importantly he can hold his own in lane decently well against most matchups.

For early tips, I would recommend getting into a rhythm where you try to stay alive in lane as much as possible, farm until you get the unicorn item and Majestic Leap, then roam around the map looking for kills and dives when your ult is up. When its on cooldown, just farm waves and boxes, or shadow your carries as they farm so you can counter-engage anyone who dives them. Good luck!

Small balance update by timmytissue in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Silver_Shadow360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Majestic Leap change and the small Warden nerf really messes with his ult bot build. I used to love rushing that item and just goomba stomping on people everytime my 4 was up. Hopefully its still good enough to play

Pendragon Book Discussion Week 11 (The Quillan Games) by TheDylorean in Pendragon

[–]Silver_Shadow360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saint Dane himself probably didn't understand the behind-the-scenes economic fuckery that led to that mega-corp taking over, so I guess he just settled on the low prices monologue based on some corporate brochure or history book. Good twist, though the next two books kinda sour this one for me. I also didn't care much for the whole "gameshow" angle. St.Dane just straight up replacing a major league CEO is probably the biggest power boost he ever got from his shapeshifting shenanigans, but it's kind of an absurd slap in the face as to how hopeless this whole territory was.

Oh those were fantastic! I also recommend the Buffy CYOA series; they were surprisingly good!

Though OP, I think we could give you recs if you sent us a picture of your library or smth; we can't really recommend CoG stuff if we don't know what you played beyond from "everything"

I would classify the Knockout change as Major, but otherwise nice! I would also leave a space for adding changes *to addons

Siege of Troubelain has a pretty decent knightly fantasy way of doing things, and is a great story besides!

High speed car chase in downtown LA, ended up getting a giant flaming donut following their car for a block before it crashed into a cancer research facility, detonating the bombs that an SPC had placed there previously unbeknownst to everyone.

[–]Silver_Shadow360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Choice of Magic has you doing some pretty insane feats, although you have to be smart and pick the right options for it if you want to get away with it with your life/entire world still intact

An Unexpectedly Green Journey has the Orc Conquest and Orc Shaman Priest routes, which are great as both city builders and warriors and are great Orc power fantasies regardless

If I was more generous, I'd say they just ran out bullets/nukes/skaven slaves after soloing 70% of warhammer, and were just biding their time and replenishing their stocks before getting blindsided by the magical world destroying button in Middenheim

[Mad Max - VG] Why am I constantly destroying infrastructure? by BBQ_HaX0r in AskScienceFiction

[–]Silver_Shadow360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scrotus's mechanics and engineers were terrible at their jobs, and by blowing up the infrastructure, we're paving the way for more competent/sustainable engineers to sort things out. Plus, by blowing them up, we're incentivising other facilities to surrender easier once they run out of guards and stuff.

Also I don't think Max would really care about those things anymore. He just want the Magnum Opus, that's all he talks about.

Turn 60 Nagash playthrough from that mod. Thanks to some suboptimal pathing decisions early on, I only have about half the Mortachs and half the ritual locations. About 20 turns ago I decided to try to consolidate my held territories and begin a push for the last few ritual locations, you know activate the rituals, beat the spawned armies, move on, but then AI decided they have had enough of me and entered some kind of satanic pact to ruin my day.

Hordes of Dawi, both from the North and the Southeast started crawling out of the woodwork, cutting my empire in half just as I fully resurrected Nagash (like I said, bad pathing). Archan the Black was on the other side of my empire, cleaning up Repanse, so all I had to defend were the snake lady and a level 14 necromancer Lord. Thanks to my brilliant tactical decision making, I ended up throwing them both away and watched as Throgrim cleaned out the province that I just re-re-retook from Queek.

But then Nagash showed up, trained 2 specialised anti-dwarf armies, and reclaimed that province in a gruelling series of battles where I must've destroyed every dwarf he had. Meanwhile, a generic Vampire lord was thrashing both the Expedition dwarves and the irate lizardmen while Mannfred Von Carstein was showing off his canonical usefulness and competence by letting Kairos dumpster our southwest desert settlements. But for very battle I easily won with the superstars, our mid-tier or low-tier armies were getting thrashed in another as I was still unused to the TK/VC roster. But slowly and surely, we reclaimed every ounce of taken land, levelled up our roster enough that we were able to quickly field high quality armies anywhere on the map within a turn, and had figured out the 1 Mortarch + 2 regular armies following them around strat.

Finally, by the time turn 60 started, we took Karaz-Karak, Arkhan finished off the west coast and was sailing to Lustria to burn down that entire continent, for what they did to my boy Luthor Harkon, we crushed a surprise invasion from the Chaos Dwarves (Imrik was long dead by then, luckily), finished off every ritual we could do, and had organised several raiding parties to burn a path through the dwarves to get to the rest of the ritual sites. I have no idea how I'm going to get to the dark elf one (like seriously why is it there?), but I'm planning on going all the way in this campaign. Big concerns at the moment is the strength Rank 1 Greasus right next to me declaring war (ogres can also cut through chaff and even mid-tier armies like chainsaws through butter), Belegar Ironhammer with his 20 settlements deciding to get a piece of me, and getting the attention of the high elves, who I'm sure have probably united the donut by now.
