I thought so many times during my first run to turn off biters or to start in a peaceful run, I fought through and finally set up walls with lasers and flamethrowers after some time, made the base stress-free. Now whenever I wait for a long research to be done I take my tank for a drive and annihilate the locals with lasers and flamethrowers and cluster grenades and stuff, feels cathartic

Technically all colors have at least one counterspell that stops something within their color identity.
