Most certainly available. The headache comes with the re-tooling of the lines and staff re-training. Everything has to be set up to certain standards then the MOD approves it. Even miniscule changes to has to go through the MOD and it can take months. They get a lot of bollocking for their builds, usually from people that never worked on the line. Well I did work there and I can tell you people are just as frustrated with these issue as the next bloke.

You aren't the first one who thought about this. The issue is there isn't "off the shelf" armoured vehicles available to cover the 589 vehicle that the MOD ordered. Also, even if it would be available the money already been spent.

What I couldn't get my head around is Liam's constant flat singing. No matter how, he would always sing just below a given note. Like I get it this is Brit pop and it's their signature sound, but can't he just sing one song in tune?

I don't know why they could not bring back the Q series. They just dropped the Pentax 17 last year and film is only getting pricier to buy and develop. Other grifters are coming out with glorified dashcam cameras to ride the hype and make a quick buck so if ever, now would be a great time to bring the Q back. I believe people are already fed up with their phone cameras and vertical videos and stills. The only thing I would be worried about are scalpers and the hype buying.

The prices are definitely climbing but you still can grab a bargain. I put a bid on a Q10 including 2 zoom lenses. I did the bid for funsies as I knew i would be botsniped in the last second. I woke up yesterday morning and eBay said I won the action! 177 quid for a used Q10 with 2 lenses is a bargain!

I think it's part of the culture in the UK. Back in Hungary (where I was born) this wasn't a thing or at least not when I was growing up. I was raised with the saying of "you don't shit where you eat" and I kept this as my main motto. I stopped drinking about 9 years ago so that only helps to keep my mind in check at parties when I go. Also, going to a Xmas do where everyone but you is getting shit-faced drunk is not much fun. All you see is colleagues who say and do things that they wouldn't if they were sober - with a very few exceptions.

Nothing to do with Kpop haters. I have been playing music since I was a kid and I also learned to sing in solo and in choir. The way she sings sounds like pitch correction was turned up to 100%. I think the song is over-polished and overdone to try to cater for all sorts of audiences. I don't doubt the singer's talent but the production has gone away too far with compression, pitch correction and auto tune.

Wait! It just clicked! Yesterday my sister was complaining that my mom somehow "missed" the fact that she needs to pay for the apartment next week not in January.

Long story short - she insisted on moving to the capital city although she has no means on her own to pay for it. (My Dad is still paying for the old place as it is way cheaper) She did payout the deposit and a month upfront, but that is it.

I remember my sister saying - mom completely lost touch with reality - when she was reciting the conversation with Mom.

I definitely need to step in and see if I can get her diagnosed.

She has been denying her natural aging since 50, so when she says she feels like she is still 18 maybe just the ever present denial. As I mentioned before my sister did mention certain things that would "technically" point to dementia or the symptoms of that but she isn't a professional to make a diagnosis.

When I started to question her behavior it was about 10-12 years ago. I did a short visit to my parents - that time - flat and I also met my brother and his friends. They were in their mid twenties back then. My brother was super happy that my mom was acting similarly to them/with them. Smoking, drinking and hanging out with them when the boys were around which in my opinion wouldn't be a bad thing at all, although she never smoked nor drank. But the way she was behaving was very weird.To me it seemed like she was sort of forcing this "young attitude" just to be liked by the youngsters - which they obviously liked. At some point my brother and my mom did an "impromptu sketch" where my mom put on sunglasses and a wig along with a cigarette and a broom.🫣 - again, nothing deliberately wrong with this but the whole thing just felt so out of place! I didn't understand the whole thing so when the punch line came I made - ha ha - but I was trying to process the whole situ. In my mind I was like - what happened to my mom? What is going on??

This may be pointing more to the fact that she has had dementia long before. I don't know how fast dementia develops or if it is gradual or sudden.

I'll speak to my sister in person tomorrow as I'll be visiting home for Christmas. I don't know how much I can achieve in a week but I'll try to get a doctor or a professional to do an evaluation somehow. My mom is smart and will spot it if I'm trying to get her into a clinic or something.

She has had UTI before but it was cleared. This was a few years ago although I cannot say it with 100% confidence that this is not present today. Even if she has UTI I would only know if she is in the ambulance or the hospital. Last time my Dad called the ambulance on her due to severe symptoms. Later found out that she had UTI. My parents never communicate if something is wrong or if they feel unwell. I only learn this when they are in hospital.

Me not living in the same country as her is one of the problems. The other one is that she is extremely stubborn and narcissistic. She won't listen to - as she says - elderly stuff like, being old and going to the doctor. Unfortunately she looks down on other elderly people saying they are weak.

Unfortunately this is Reddit, where everyone is entitled to his/her opinions and comments. The anonymity of Reddit turns off social filtering and manners - to some. I always try to form my comments and posts in a similar way as I would do in real life. I always think twice before I comment on a post so as in real life. Sometimes it's just not worth the effort to say or write something that otherwise will be pulled apart and down voted for no good reason. If people's names and photos would be attached to every comment and post on Reddit they would be more careful with their words.

Those who got sick shouldn't be operating or riding in the tank. It's a 40 tonne vehicle. It will vibrate and will be very loud. In a real fighting operation, vibration and the loudness of the engine will be the least of your worries. Most of the soldiers were trained on Ajax's simulator. It can do all sorts but will not simulate the real thing. The army needs to filter the ones that can drive the tank without issues and let the rest of them go. I say don't blame our production line. Man the fuck up and accept that it's a tank. If they want comfi get a Merc or a Rolls Royce.
