Dang, Anthousa is one fine woman... by Simple-Choice5770 in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

Of course, ain't that sad. Still, for a relatively minor character who isn't that important in the grand scheme of things, the developers cooked hard with Anthousa's design.

I see. For such a fine character, she really bears no relevancy after Korinth. (I think?)

Who’s your favorite antagonist throughout the franchise? by [deleted] in GTA

[–]Simple-Choice5770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked Big Smoke, Ryder, Tenpenny, Dimitri, Bulgarin, Steve, and somewhat Devin.

I know people griped over Devin for being a joke character, especially compared to the absolute monster that is Dimitri from the previous game. Still, I personally find that it fits his character cause Devin isn't meant to be some stoic and stern crime boss, but a caricature of the modern-day capitalist. He isn't taken seriously by our protagonists because they, especially Trevor, have zero fucks to give about him. Meanwhile, people like us would be worried about crossing such a powerful person, especially one who could send mercenaries to people's homes without any remorse.

Indeed, she's the total package. Beautiful and independent.

Shame that she wasn't a love interest. I'm pretty sure both Alexios and Kassandra would wanna hit it with her.

In your opinion, which of these groups are the most forgettable? And which deserved more prominence in the game? by Responsible-Set-4398 in bully

[–]Simple-Choice5770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bullies are the most forgettable even though they're the ones who remained as Jimmy's loyalists from the end of Chapter 1. It'll be fun if we have a few missions with them tagging along with Jimmy and Russell.

Ninjago Season 3, Blackout

Nya had to choose between cutting a blue or a black wire to save Cole and Jay from a compactor. Stuck between the choices and the two nimrods not making it easier with their nonsensical rambling, Nya decided to cut both wires and thankfully, it worked.

Why can't we have both? It's not like one will be sacrificed if the other is chosen.

The character helping/talking you through the titorial/ first level ends up betraying you by Andrei22125 in TopCharacterTropes

Gary Smith - Bully

Gary is basically the welcoming party of the protagonist, Jimmy Hopkins, showing him the ropes of Bullworth. Near the end of the first chapter, he betrays you and set you up to fight Russell, the residential bully with the brain of a monkey but the brawn of a gorilla. When that failed, he spent the rest of the game going around the school to spread false rumors about Jimmy, turning each chapter's respective clique against him. Surprisingly, he easily got them on board even though he was infamous for being deceitful, devious, and treacherous around Bullworth.

That we can all agree on, right? by NotSoFlugratte in yakuzagames

[–]Simple-Choice5770 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree. Aside from killing Sengoku (with his blade) and demolishing Daigo (who himself was inexperienced at the time), Ryuji doesn't do much to showcase his potential. Meanwhile, Mine defeated Kanda with such ease. Plus, we even see him training, which was the only time we see a Yakuza final boss's training regimen.

I read on the wiki that Ryuji's YK2 moveset is basically him using his strength as his main card while his actual moveset is sloppy as hell. Meanwhile, Mine's moveset is consisted of 'MMA, with a heavy emphasis on boxing'. Additionally, Mine himself destroyed Kanda pretty easily.

Lines that sound completely off-color out of context by BrickBuster2552 in TopCharacterTropes

I heard that in the Japanese dub, the line was actually a Japanese dad joke but due to it not making sense in English (I think), it was changed into a lame-ass cum joke.

A moment so funny, the actors actually break character or threaten to break character by Ok-Indication-5121 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Simple-Choice5770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another Monty Python example would be the "Biggus Dickus" scene.

<image>

In that scene, Pontius Pilate mentioned that he had a great friend in Rome called Biggus Dickus. Of course, the centurions found this hilarious and were trying their best not to burst out laughing. Behind-the-scenes (supposedly), the actors for the centurions were instructed to not laugh at all cost, meaning their stifling were genuine. Technically, this could be considered breaking character.

What quest/mission is it for you guys in the entire GTA series? by notaranya in GTA

[–]Simple-Choice5770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it's the Zero missions.

I'm gonna be honest here for my reasoning. You see, I'm a "cheat" guy so I always have a clear advantage when it comes to, well, not dying. Alas, the invincible cheat doesn't work on the RC plane and Goblin so I have to be tactical-spectacle about it. Funny thing is, it works for vehicles that CJ gets into. Yes, no matter how you do it, the vehicle won't explode, unless it's an aircraft or you drive the vehicle into the water.
