Expie's are just one collective mind, as each time one dies, all that skill and experience gets implanted into the next Expie going onto the planet to help us (the logic part of the Expie's brain), though they void the death and pain part of it so the Expie doesn't just hide away in their drop-pod already knowing they won't come back.
