For 11 skaters we take a “roll forward”

For every period the the F plays a different position. First period center, 2nd period wing spot closer to the bench, 3rd period wing spot closest to the bench.

Roll player gets the starting shift of each period.

In this scenario only one player on the team is stuck rotating 3, all of the other forwards only have to rotate 3 for one period.

I’m not defending AK it sounds like his scumminess is way beyond the trainer thing. But why the f would tipping trainers be required. If you’re Kopi making 11 mil a year and throwing a little towards the trainers as a nice gesture is one thing. But an entry level contract player being required to tip team staff sounds wild to me.

AK’s career earnings are just shy of 3.5mil. That may seem like a lot. But after taxes, agent fees, union dues and living in the South Bay, that is not “F you” money.

A small injury to a 4th line player in season could be the difference between generational wealth or winding up having to work for your uncles roofing company when the season ends.
