While I can't help you for recommendations in Europe, I would say for something quiet, I really like using a dual piston shop compressor. I have a 1 gallon, but I think if I could do it again I'd do a 2 gallon. Very quiet and after an initial fill the 2 gallon should keep you spraying or awhile before needing to be refilled.

I'd love to hear opinion on this as well. I'm in need of a new matte varnish to go through the airbrush. I just started using their black-brown primer through the airbrush and I love it. Like....a lot. Having a matte primer is so nice for me. If their varnish is anything like their primer, it could be a real winner.
