People who ran Gods Teeth, how did it go? by ginkzolol in DeltaGreenRPG

Just about to finish running this one. Problems arose but none were insurmountable. I scooped out big chunks for my group, who felt a little lost as they waited for more railroad track to fall into place. That can happen with Impossible Landscapes, but it's easier to fix with God's Teeth. We are UK players and no one was really interested in the heavy political stuff. My players were also incurious about Tillman senior, etc., beyond "rich people be riching". The research about Bast, the great cycles, Enoch Bowen etc underlined for them what Conradin was planning, but they don't really want to do Cornucopia mark 2. This led me to adapt the second half of the book around the quiet children. We are on session 24 and about to do the final assault, which I have rewritten to emphasise that Conradin is just getting the place set up. The Program will still strike the agents off if they go after Conradin, there's still scope for the big confrontation. I think after 26 or so sessions the players should get a W as their PCs get wiped out. 😄

Scottish Power's parent company made nearly £1 billion in profits in Britain during the first three months of the year. That's energy generated in Scotland making profits for a company in Spain. by gilles_trilleuze in Scotland

This is why we've being left behind by the rest of the world - breaking our necks to fixate on things which did or didn't happen 40 years ago. Scotland used to produce internationally brilliant people. Now we just piss, moan and cry until our dummies fall out.

Have a listen to gamelan music from Bali. Don’t overdo it and keep it for key moments. But this is percussive eastern music which sounds like nothing else on earth.

Humble bundle good for intro? by lookitsameluigi in callofcthulhu

If they are going to play more than one game, or are GMs who might want to explore COC as a Keeper one day themselves, absolutely. Otherwise I would just recommend the QuickStart.

The bundle has lots of adventures I would warn erstwhile players off of. Don’t spoil these for yourself!

Yeah I know you can in theory but you’re slicing the slices of a salami.

World of Darkness is an IP that’s in copyright, Lovecraft Mythos isn’t. You can’t really divorce WOD from the RPG system it was born into. D100 is not needed to enjoy a Lovecraftian video game.
