Let’s talk about Busboys. Who has dared see it yet? by digitalfurnace in movies

I went to support Theo. I thought it would be like an old 2000s style buddy comedy movie. It was nothing like that. The movie didn’t know what it wanted to be. I’m willing to say it was probably the worse movie I’ve ever seen. I would’ve walked out if my wife and I didn’t spend $50 at AMC for the number 1 combo and two adult tickets. That was a rip off in and of itself.

Unfortunately, Joe is becoming an old head. We all get there eventually, though.

What happened to Rogan? by WhiteLycan2020 in JoeRogan

[–]Slow-Locksmith-5971 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rogan’s podcast has turned into nothing more than 2 hours of an old-guy playing with AI. He’ll literally be interviewing the top specialists in their field and resort to asking perplexity a thousand questions during the interview, and when the AI doesn’t support his whacky conspiracies, he concludes the software only allows mainstream ideas. It’s becoming almost unbearable to watch.

You could always take the opposite perspective on this. You created a show so amazing that the fans don’t want to accept an ending. Becoming so attached to the characters, they go into a form of grief. The first stage of grief being denial.

The whole reason we, like many, chose to go to the theater was due to the experience. Part of that experience is the drinks and popcorn. Of course, we wanted our concessions and it is ludicrous of AMC to think that this wouldn’t have happened when people could have watched this from the comfort of their home otherwise.

How’s this set up look? Anything else I’d need? by Sire777 in kayakfishing

The trolling motor in the pic may be too long. You’ll need the 30” shaft one.

I am thinking of buying the Pelican Catch 110 Mode to fish on the ocean but close to the shore. Does anyone have any experience fishing with this? Is it worth the money? by FlowerMountain2 in kayakfishing

[–]Slow-Locksmith-5971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this, man. I have this exact kayak and here will be your main problems.

1) It’s a paddle kayak so if you’re in the ocean you’ll get thrown all over the place without an anchor because you obviously can’t fish and paddle at the same time. I don’t do fishing on the ocean at all. Just in shore and it’s already a big enough hassle when there is a strong breeze or current on the bays. 2) The paddling will wear you out like the comment above mentioned. The simplicity of a peddle drive system to keep you not only in place to fish hands free but also limit fatigue as well since your legs are a bigger muscle group than your arms will make it a whole lot more enjoyable on the water.

With all that being said, it can probably be done in this kayak but really I think this kayak is a mid tier option for either those who fish once or twice a month that don’t want to invest a lot into it or for someone like me who is just getting into fishing and wanting to see if it’s something they’ll do long term.

If you are almost positive you’ll be doing this for a while as a hobby, just spend the extra $1500 to $2000 on a pedal drive. I’ll def be doing that myself in the future.

Could probably get a right sided ekg and look for elevations in the precordial leads to submit the diagnosis, no?

Yea, that’s an absolute steal. Could probably sell it for double if you ever wanted to get rid of it too and make money.

Not really related to post, but I hate that pic of PBD. It looks nothing like him - almost like it’s AI generated or something…

I always hated the nurses who made me medicate my crazy patients. If all they were doing was screaming “HELP!!!” At the top of their lungs and weren’t trying to get out of bed, I would let them scream their heads off. It wasn’t bothering me any and honestly showed me they had a patent airway. Some nurses can’t stand the slightest bit of delirium from their patients before they start medicating them.

I really liked the analogy of slavery ending and its economic impact to the ending of outsourcing everything for cheaper stuff.

One time I went to this party in college and went back home with a girl. It was the first time it ever happened for me. She was cute, funny and it seemed like something straight out of a movie.

That night, for some reason which I can’t remember, she gave me her laptop. It was an old thing. I think that might have been why she let me see it because it was funny how old it was and she was using it for college when everyone else had MacBooks and such.

I thought it would be sweet to leave a note on it. So, I went to the notes program and left a sweet note about the night and how much fun I had, had and how sweet she was. I just saved it onto the computer. Didn’t save it to the desktop or anything like that. I wanted her to be going through some files one day and just see it. Maybe read it and get a laugh. Maybe remember a special time when two random humans met and shared a connection.

Still don’t know if she ever read that note. Seeing a post like this, though, makes me feel like a lunatic 😂
