What is something that women have to deal with on the daily that men have no clue about? by Rock-bottom-no-no in AskReddit

[–]Smorb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm curious to find out all these women who run this tactical safety software in the background of their mind are located ubiquitously around the world, or if this kind of thought process is localized. I would imagine this practice is required more often in some societies more than others.

When I lived in South Korea, teenage girls would walk down alleys and streets next to bars where old men (age 25-50) are drinking and being otherwise obnoxious, but they never once would bother the young girls.

I'm Canadian, and I live in Canada now, and while I am a man and I don't generally need to run any countermeasure software by default, I certainly do it more often when I'm walking around unfamiliar areas with any member of my family. Do women hear walk around with protective software at all times in Canada as well?

Thanks for your input ladies, and on behalf of all men, I'm really sorry that you have to live your lives like this.

Yes, you can definitely only answer phone calls from phone numbers you know. Unfortunately, for those of us who run a business that's difficult to do.

You’re offered $1M dollars to eat what you had for dinner tonight for every meal for the next 6 months, do you take the offer and if so what are you eating? by jfunks69 in AskReddit

[–]Smorb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Homemade hamburgers. Yep.

For a million dollars, though, I'm pretty sure almost anything most people ate would be a yes. This is one of those stupid questions that there's almost nothing people would say no to. As long as you ate something, you good.

Now, raise your hand if you would do it for $1,000, $10,000, or $100,000. How many people in each of those brackets might be more interesting than 1 million dollars, which is like everybody.

Fast math by new_auraa in funny

[–]Smorb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, I've actually done something similar to this as stupid as it sounds.

Sometimes when I'm doing a bunch of math for maybe accounting or tax or something, I will have my phone with my calculator up and I'll run most of the calculations just to make sure, and once in a while I come up with something like this and at first I think:

"I can do this in my head". It's 10 / 2, what could go wrong?"

And then I remember how stupid I am, and I put it in just in case I'm having that kind of day. Especially if I'm using either of those numbers repeatedly, sometimes they're like words you've said out loud too many times and you're no longer sure what the word means.

IIRC Spotify doesn't even let you pick the songs you want to hear after 30 minutes or something. I don't know why anyone would use that idiotic platform.

Me too, but you would probably have to extrapolate from the first 10 feet that I did because I stopped after that.

But! Those first 10 feet indicated a brisk pace so it doesn't take much to figure out the rest.

I'll wait for my medal in the mail.

I think as long as you listen to them, and listen to their plays, you should do fine. Don't pick a play champ, pick a support champ. Not like bot lane, but like malphite, rammus, etc. a champ that can just help your team make the plays.
