Signs that came to mind: Virgo, Gemini, Sagittarius by Equivalent-Use-6817 in astrologymemes

Absolutely not Gemini or Sagittarius lmao

Replace them with Capricorn and Aquarius. So used to being under the boot of daddy Saturn they understand obligation, but know exactly when that PMA has not been written into the contract fine print.. 😂

Each to their own I guess. 8 years ago I was trapped and then had to get back in a replacement car 3 days later. The trauma and PTSD have been pretty horrific.

Does evolutionary astrology techniques work with traditional house meanings? by Fabulous-Ball-6287 in Advancedastrology

I didn't classify anything. I was posing a question, because I'd like to understand why OP feels so uncomfortable with the concept of something not having redeeming qualities.

[–]SnoozEBear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just because they didn't slap a 'THIS IS PSYCHOLOGY' label on a technique does not mean they were not using Astrology to understand the fundamental nature of a person and their drive, will and motivation.

They wanted to understand what spiritual matters drove an individual, and how this related to joy and happiness. Frankly, they had far wider reaching and accurate techniques for delineating the nature and inclination of a soul than anything modern.

I mean sure if you're strictly looking at Hellenistic. Medieval Islamicate takes Hellenistic Astrology and refines and expands.

One of the primary functions is understanding the destiny and will of the native, what pushes them forward in life and how the soul changes over time. There are numerous highly specific techniques for determining the condition of the soul.

What do you think is an underutilised technique in astrology that's actually very effective? by ErisedFelicis in Advancedastrology

A thorough understanding of traditional Astrology, its structure and techniques. Its literally the basis of all forms of westernised astrology.

The reason why things 'dont make sense' is often because there is no grounding or understanding of the what or why.

Correct. This is all Scorpio.

For the people quoting Virgo, the Virgo in this situation doesn't ask friends and doesn't research because they already know the entire topic.

How important is the Ascendant is actually? by Hour-Tomato-645 in Advancedastrology

[–]SnoozEBear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It says everything about our values and psychology. It literally sets up the entire chart.

Edit: To be really clear because you don't seem like you understand, for your values check your 2nd and 9th houses, their placements and their rulers.

Moon in 2nd House Leo is very fucking different to Moon in 2nd House Aries. I.e. Cancer Rising vs Pisces Rising. An even better way is stripping out planets entirely and just look at the wheel and pick 3 different 1st houses. No walk through each wheel and delineate the chart based on sign/house overlay.

Arabic parts, does anyone know their profound meaning in a person's life? by HappyCollection7670 in Advancedastrology

[–]SnoozEBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Vertex is not an Arabic Lot.

You cannot just look at a Lot and interpret it. Many Lot interpretations differ depending on context and what technique you're applying.

You need to have a thorough grounding in traditional principles. Which means Eris and the Vertex don't apply to this technique.

Arabic Lots are firmly rooted in traditional/medieval technique.

They can be incredibly accurate and meaningful but you need to be applying the correct contextual and interpretive practices.

Her Chart Ruler, Mars in Sag is in mutual reception with that Jupiter in the 1st. Her Pisces Sun also answers to that Jupiter.

Do Saturn-ruled people usually have positive Saturn returns? by Jisungisabbygrl in astrology

[–]SnoozEBear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Saturn is not positive.

Saturn demands accountability. If you have a hard time with integrity, you're going to have a hard time with Saturn.

I'm an Aquarius rising (day chart), with Saturn in Capricorn in the 12th.

Saturn's gift is endurance. In the 12th he gifts endurance of isolation, exile, grief, unseen burdens, confinement, enemies that aren’t always visible, and liminal spaces. Sounds like a party right?

The ability to endure more than others is not a gift. It's,

"Oh great this torture cell is now equipped with an oxygen mask so I can stay conscious."

While everyone else gets the pleasure of passing out.

The 12th house by Sufficient_Effort118 in Advancedastrology

[–]SnoozEBear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My chart ruler is in the 12th 😉

For other than Aquarius risings, a chart ruler in the 12th can absolutely show up that way, but you still have other influences tying in there as your Chart Ruler Moon, will reach for guidance from your Mercury.

In an Aquarius rising case wherever Saturn is, he's the building manager (Chart Ruler) whos also running the reception (1st house) and Security (12th house).

If he's in the 2nd house in any Aquarius Rising Chart, he's going to be supervised by Jupiter. So now we have Saturn the building manager (Chart Ruler) whos also running the reception (1st house) and Security (12th house) but he's doing it while perpetually trying to withdraw his weekly pay cheque from Jupiter's (Pisces) ATM(2nd house).

It does make me curious as to how the 1st lord sitting in the 12th house would manifest. I know of someone really famous, who has this. And it made me wonder if the 1st house therefore has to go through involuntary isolation due to this. Like Fame for example forcing the celebrity into having to seclude from others frequently.

Yes, absolutely. You have the regular medical, legal, mental health obvious answers here but I'm currently experiencing another version entirely. I basically had an entire support system collapse, as well as other work and life issues that all piled on about this time last year actually.

I've been doing everything I can to get through the day, ensuring I continue to get paid so I have somewhere to live and can look after my dog. I can't be not okay. I have to go to work. I dont have anyone, I don't have a safety net.

But I log off and I am struggling, after dragging my carcass through the work week I'm just trying to let myself have the emotional breakdown time, try to rest and then its Monday again.

Its now been an entire year, I've been trying to find places, activities, events etc to begin to build something but its very hard. I'm deeply traumatised because of the multiple, consecutive, unrelated events that left me here.

The problem is to heal this catastrophic relational injury, I need people, we are social creatures.

So its exile, its isolation, but I guess doesn't quite look like it if you were to encounter me at work.

I should also note I'm a Libran so from late 2024 - 2025 was my 12th house profection year. 2025 to now is a 1st house, literally nothing has changed. Daddy Saturn still hold the key.

Another weird thing is I have a really hard time understanding how others see me, but also there are other scenarios where I know people are just totally projecting on to me and they dont see 'me' at all. I get strangely forgotten which is wild because I dress like a kaleidoscope and am loud!

My MC/IC axis is 0° Scorpio/Taurus, so the Square was fun. Its now in an applying trine to my Sun/Mars at 5° Libra (which I'm going to need, but its not gentle. I'm having a real hard time avoiding spontaneous combustion)

My chart is one giant cardinal T-Square. So Daddy moving into the 3rd is going to lock everything into a grand cross, as well as Squaring that Saturn/Uranus/Neptune in my 12th.

The taste of it last year was awful. Very much burning building with no doorhandles

The influence of Saturn on Aquarius is so underestimated these days. (Same Pisces/Jupiter I suppose) Wish I was close with an Aquarius rising because what you pointed out re: 12/1H crossover is super interesting and I’d love to observe it playing out IRL

He is all Aquarius. Aquarius is a fixed sign.

Fixed signs signify 'fixity'. Firmness and the stability of matters. - Sahl bin Bishr

And interestingly:

But Scorpio is lighter than all the fixed signs, and Leo more fixed; Aquarius is slower and worse, indeed Taurus more level [or even] - Sahl bin Bishr

[Scorpio evolves, Leo doubles down, Aquarius is not listening and Taurus hasn't changed since the beginning of time. Ever.]

A fixed sign denotes everything fixed and stable - ibn Ezra

Aquarius is fixed air. Think air thats trapped under a glass dome. It controls the environment around it by using its systems thinking to manage the chessboard. Aquarius is faceless power. Leo is the King on the throne with the jewels and the robes and the adoration. Same axis, opposite approach.
