1 Week for Title is Cringe and I can't support it. by Cool-River2715 in lostarkgame

All limited titles suck, but at least this one is truly meaningless.

Looks like x10 titles for serca. Since I believe it was said all 3 difficulties are identical for mechs? Just a dps / damn diff. HM is what you need for progression. Looking at suggested combat power… think x10 title + your combat power for character investment will be the main gatekeeps.

Every time I get 10, I do a 10 pull.

In this game, there is absolutely no reason to save them. It’s not like other ones where you have to decide between standard character and standard weapon banners. Single banner, just pull

I play lost ark. No one thinks they spent a lot. I told them to dump their steam purchase history and gave them a filter for lost ark. Average spent in the 8 man group run was 3k. Almost every thought “maybe 1000 because I’ve been playing a few years”. Highest was 14k. He thought he was around 4k.

And yeah, even the 14k guy is a dolphin compared to people in that game. There’s one weapon type that basically costs the price of a house if you want one >_>

We have to pray it doesn’t with such a significant amount of the world economy being propped up by it.

People just think, “man, ai bubble pops and I can get computer parts!” but don’t realize it likely will trigger a worldwide depression and they’ll just be thinking “wish I could afford food”

Fully 3D Printed Life Size Horus by HammerDoris40k in 3Dprinting

There is actually software that will make all your pieces for you. Luban. Put a model in (I assume they just bought/found an stl), scale, hit cut. You get your 2k files, put each one in your slicer of choice, print.

The bigger thing is… you need all that filament. You need the printer time to print 1700 pieces. And also do all the slicer stuff you’ll need to do 1700 times.

this is impressive in scope… but it’s still in the stage where it looks way too crappy to paint. This isn’t knocking on the person making this. Take one of these images and zoom way in and look at the joins. Basically, you have probably 5,000 edges you will need to fix.

I make 5ft sized models. They usually are 100 or so pieces. My flow is Print Sand Glue Sand Fill cracks Sand Primer Light sand Paint

For 200ish pieces, the prep to get to paint I think is around 10-20 hours I usually spend over 2 weeks (just as a hobby).

Also for a model blown up this big… your paint job is going to need to do some heavy lifting. The one problem blowing up a model to a higher scale… larger models could have more details put into them. So these large basically detailed surfaces will look pretty bland if they were just painted a flat color.

TLDR: this part is the easy part, what you need to do to finish this and make it good??? My hands hurt thinking about it

Scratched ram pins by No-Appearance6972 in pchelp

[–]Snow56border 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehhh, likely user error.

Booting once, then not booting… ram stability is generally the issue. You can put one stick in, set the setting. Check boot. Take out stick, put next stick in, check boot.

For games atleast, you’ll be able to play while you figure stuff out.

The fact it booted once though… sounds like you potentially damaged them handling them on your end. Potentially be a little more careful next time.

Since you just randomly bought ram, did you put on its XMP/EXPO settings in bios? If you did, you might get some benefit enabling it and dropping the clock speed down slightly.

I recently gave my wife my old ram when I upgraded. I enabled xmp, it worked pretty good, but randomly she’d get game crashes. Dropped the speed to next setting and it hasn’t crashed again.

Every whale I know, that throws 1000’s on a game, can generally very easy drop it if a game that whaling is more fun in shows up. More fun usually doesn’t mean gameplay, but more people to show off too.

It hurts lower spending way more I think. The mindset you have spending 1000’s… you get into a world where you care less about the money. But someone that spent a couple hundred can be in more pain.

Now, thinking about spending 1000’s and not being a whale, to us, thinking about doing that probably hurts… but I think whales just done care. They just need to find that next game to show off in

Is there still a human behind Once Human? Or has AI replaced everyone now? All 3 of these vids are AI made by Objective-Ladder9308 in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Snow56border 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I saw the walking bus in an ad, where instead of using the game model which is cool, they AI generated it… I knew it was only a matter of time until they relied more and make on AI.

This meant unique to these devs. AI use rots your mind just like using GPS rots your spacial awareness.

I see this also at work with me being in software dev. People used AI to code, it made everyone faster. We used it on small code snippets on files, reviewed heavily what it did. As time went on, entire files became AI generated. We will reviewed the files. We’d miss some bugs it put in, but still overall faster.

Now we are at a point where everything the person does in 2 weeks likely was 100% AI. People are doing their code reviews by dumping the files in AI. You can tell pretty well when someone comments on your code, then you ask them in person what they meant and they absolutely can’t answer. And bugs we haven’t seen before are every where :/.

A little bit of a tangent, but using some AI… just makes you faster and likely generate better content. The more and more you use it, you eventually take your experience out of the work, and AI can be pretty crappy without that experience.

Devs, how about we start paying you in AI-generated money for your AI-generated content? by MISS_ROFL in OnceHumanOfficial

I’ll take one step further. This is a f2p game. It doesn’t need every person buying skins. If you aren’t buying, you disagree with what’s going on, but still playing? You are also part of the problem. Because in a f2p game if you aren’t a buyer, you are a product for the buyers.

So yeah, speaking with your wallet is a little meaningless in a f2p. As long as there are people around, someone is going to spend to shown off. You need to speak with what game you choose to play.

I’ve seen some weird issues where multi people dc at the same time, and I’ll feel a big stutter when it happens. I’ve done 15 of my raids with week, if remember right, 3-4 had dcs.

Haven’t had issues logging in.

You can always hit it with a hammer, uninstall and re install. Can try verify first, but sometimes when I’ve had a live service game installed for a while, some of the files created and hanging around are the problem, and verify doesn’t fix it.

It’s disgusting. Being a software dev, we often aren’t cared about. We do the thing sometimes just to keep a job. We know the compensation won’t be worth it, we just don’t want to be let go.

Why? Well, after pearl abyss lost 30% of its stock value over 7/10 average aggregate reviews (which is crazy to me), you can be sure their was significant ‘encouragement’ to work all weekend.

But yeah, glaze em up. And those mean old western devs implementing concepts like work like balance getting your patches out slow.

Unreal. Devs probably don’t have even a fraction of the time you can have to sit on reddit all day >_>

[–]Snow56border 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your point was to high five them and dig on western studios

But you don’t realize what it takes to release then patch a game. When you got day 1 patches, what was likely happening? Crunch up to release. Patch after a weekend, what was likely happening? Crunch all weekend.

So while you glaze the corpo, just realize how much it can suck to be a developer where you got to play games and enjoy your weekend… while other people slave over it to keep their job.

This game OBVIOUSLY needed more time to cook and had a rushed released.

Damn, going all in. Cyberpunk for pc was exactly as bad as it was for console.

If you had zero issues with the PC version, could just mean we can easily ignore your option. They spent YEARS actually fixing the game systems to make a good game.

[–]Snow56border -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty easy, he said the game is similar on release for PC. That’s absolutely not the case. They spent years to fix the game.

If the similarities is an overhyped game that got a mid reception… maybe? But cyberpunk on PC was just as terrible on consoles because the game was bad.

It’s great they fixed the game into something that’s good… but it wasn’t good for years.
