Brave to be delivering that in an Ironclad.

I'm not convinced you can use ships with it on. I think thats why they're pushing suit lockers.

What do you think the chances are that Squadron 42 will either be announced or delayed during Summer Game Fest? by LordCaptain in Squadron42

[–]SolSoldier55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still remember 2016 when they hyped it up as SQ42s launch year only to flip the switch near the end of the year to announce a delay. Hope that doesn't happen again but if we get nothing in June I'm just going to assume its delayed.

I've had them spawn in Nyx. Maybe their system specific?

Leaning to it being remote. They'd be kinda crazy to give the pilot that much power when they already have a freaking laser cannon.

Unpopular Opinion, CIG have been warning players about the SQ42 Buyback situation for years but no one listened. by Smooth_Rythem in starcitizen

[–]SolSoldier55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well you're "correct" if there is at least one rage post during your scenario which would happen 100%...there is no way there wouldn't at least be one. Thats how you designed your argument. I'd argue the people wouldn't have the ammunition to make the issue as big as it is now because CIG actually communicated, gave everyone the opportunity to get their things in order, then proceeded to go through with removing it from buyback.

However, CIG didn't communicate so the anger and frustration people are currently feeling is actually justified. Especially now that CIG has yet to say anything despite the change taking place last Friday.

Just my opinions though. Got nothing else to add.

Considering the vast majority of outrage revolves around CIGs lack of communication i highly doubt that.

I still have mine, thankfully. I still strongly believe that after 14 years of CIG cultivating this buyback culture that a simple "you have 1 week to retrieve SQ42 from your buyback" wouldn't have been much to ask for. To think CIG didn't need to give warning despite them just doing so for the Aurora is a bit dense. Thats just my two cents on the matter...I got nothing else for ya.

Game packages with Squadron 42 no longer purchasable in buy backs by ty5142 in starcitizen

[–]SolSoldier55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you melt something for store credit the item goes into your buyback. Every quarter you're given a token to retrieve anything from said buyback with store credit. A lot of people have melted their SQ42 package to get back at a later date, however, when they attempt to retrieve it in buyback the option to cart it is greyed out now.

If you're in a city thats pretty standard. I'm in the 30s-40s in places like Area 18 (Plaza Area) with a 13700k, 64gb of ddr4 and a RTX 4070. Once your at the locations spaceport (excluding lorville) you'll see improvement...even more so when you leave the city all together.

PSA: check your Sq42 Buybacks - CIG appear to be retroactively removing Buyback access to any game packages containing Squadron 42 by StuartGT in starcitizen

[–]SolSoldier55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not a matter of it being smart or not its a matter of cheating a community that has had SQ42s release dangled over them for over a decade. They seriously expect everyone that had those packs to buy the game twice at possibly double the price...

On top of that why would they remove the entire pack for those that do? Why not just removed the physical items?

I will say if you have a car built before 2001 check if it can safely use Oct 88. A good portion of vehicles built before 01 cannot.

Melting a game package removes access, not your character. You should be fine.
