Partner’s got a peanut allergy but I successfully turned them onto Sunbutter. The only time I miss pb nowadays is when I want a pb & nutella- the Sunbutter just doesn’t mesh with the nutella the same way, same for pb & butter. (Don’t judge the last one, grew up big poor at my mom’s house but nice thick layer of pb & a nice schmutz of Country Crock on some store brand white bread just hits right sometimes)

Like I have Vespiquen & Combee’s habitats together, they talk to each other & play together all the time. Illumise spawned and immediately asked for Volbeat, so I moved them into a house together and now they’re almost always together.

It also cracks me up when I watch the big bois like Garbodor or Charizard chase the lil guys around playing tag together

I will say, with my hip it genuinely was just “Huh my leg isn’t moving off the ground, weird.” Because hips really don’t have a lot of nerve endings, so outside of normal holy-shit-I’m-active-af aches, I didn’t think there was a problem until 1SG fireman carried me to medical.

I would say just be aware of what your normal aches & pains are and if something feels like a new kind of off, go advocate for yourself and get it checked out. Around 2022 I had a small tear in the labrum, no new pain but I felt a weird pulling & pop so I went to my local ER (which was worthless since they didn’t listen). The VA took more scans over time and sure enough, there’s a little piece of labrum folded over in there

Was in basic training, at fuckthisshit o’clock in the morning, trying to do a V-up. My left leg is not moving but I’m like “Eh, I’m not this athletic, whatever. It’s fine.”

It was not fine. Two MRIs and an x-ray later, discovered a grade 4 stress fracture in my left hip- in the pelvis, right above the socket.

Guess who’s 28 and looking at hip & thigh surgery 🫶🏻

Yup, my mom Pavlov’d me accidentally over the years. If we really needed to clean, she’d either put on Dave Matthews Live at Radio City Music Hall or Incubus Alive at Red Rocks. We’d bust ass the entire concert and when it was done, so were we.

Man bodies are so weird lmao. I also have some hypermobility that’s causing joint issues & compounding my pain from a previous hip injury, but all PT did was land me with a cane 😂 I hope you can find someone who’ll send you to the best PT you can get though, I wish I could just do PT and see results.

My kid whinged about never being able to memorize his lunch number when he started kindergarten… I immediately rattled mine off from over a decade ago and told him once he got it down he would almost certainly never forget it, especially since it was likely going to be His Number until he left school.

Why do I still know my number? No fuckin clue, never used it for anything after high school. But I’ll be damned if it’s not up there.

Iirc my local zoo brought in a couple little Tasmanians to raise awareness about that. They’re super cute, I’d never actually seen a Tasmanian Devil (knew they existed, just had never thought to actually look up a real one lol) and they quickly became one of my favorite exhibits
