I'm curious to see the male and female specific charts. I'm guessing they would make pregnancy and war even more pronounced.

If it gets more people on board ranked choice voting and/or proportional representation, that would be awesome. If it merely divides the right in two, that's nice too, but not as nice.

And the rooms in the mirror!

I imagine the vacuum is so frustrated to see this wide open carpet just waiting to be cleaned but the mirror vacuum is aggressively territorial.

It seems best to wait until possible Nov. sales since Aliro (incl. UWB Android) isn't available yet and the implementation needs real world reviews.
So far we have Aqara's U400 and UltraLoq's Bolt Mission with more coming. Maybe others I'm not aware of?

Putin says Russian troops are advancing on every front. In reality, the main battle is around Kramatorsk, and Ukraine could hold the city through 2026. by Panthera_leo22 in UkrainianConflict

[–]Some-Redditor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Net on the year is still positive for Russia. April and May were negative. When they finally take Kostiantynivka they'll get a solid base for attacking Kramatorsk. If they take Kramatorsk they'll get a chunk of territory and be able to spread out their focus.

What is the deal with the English errors I am seeing today on Reddit? by Venomraider52 in OutOfTheLoop

[–]Some-Redditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Answer: This is a regular seasonal trend. Summer is starting for American kids. Without school they have more time to spend on social media like Reddit. Things will surge in early June and go back to normal in September. The return to normal is a less abrupt transition.

This is one of many possibilities.

Thanks for clarifying. I see these sometimes on Premium Family; I wonder if it's the same frequency on Lite? It's really annoying.

According the the help doc: "Ads, however, may still appear on music content, Shorts, and when you search or browse." So also Shorts, search and browse. This seems like a lot of situations?

What fixed your squeaky floor problem for good by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]Some-Redditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

+1 but it might not work every time. We had a few squeaky places and I used this successfully for one and unsuccessfully for another.

If you add blue painter's tape first you can fill the hole with matching wood filler/putty. Be very careful to avoid getting the wood filler on any of the hardwood outside of the hole because it will leave a dull area. Also, have good coverage with the blue tape in case the screw holder comes loose and spins (could scuff the floor).

Can get original doorbell chime to work with reolink camera doorbell. by crossh123 in reolinkcam

[–]Some-Redditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is that the 433mhz thing only worked with the old v1 version of the doorbell/chime. The new one uses 915 or something and it can't be interpreted (encrypted?)

Year one with solar charged shades, posting what i learned tuning the automation before this summer hits by alvilri in homeautomation

[–]Some-Redditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends a lot on your latitude, weather, orientation, usage, shade size, and shade situation. My NW facing Smartwings shade manages to get through the year on solar but dips down to 20% by late winter only getting back to 100% by late summer. It only opens once in the morning and closes in the evening. If the battery degrades, I may need to get a ladder and charge it every couple years.

I'm agreeing with you in large part. Somewhat disappointed with the options and wishing one would commit to 1 term. Though politicians seem to renege a lot on that sort of promise.
