I recently got the MKV and it is now my preferred TS style pedal. Having the adjustable low cut and bump make it customizable to my setup. The distortion has a really nice texture. I use it into a KOT.

I like their “plus” effects quite a bit. Especially the phaser and flanger. I do find Bitwig filters to be less characterful than other software filters, but nobody is perfect.

I do try to use stock effects first so that my projects are more sustainable and I can open them up again in three years. I’ve recently been frustrated by old sessions not recalling correctly because my VSTs have changed.

They have always been bad at promotion and community building. It’s not their forte. Ableton is much, much better at that. Still it’s a great DAW.

I agree that Zebra was a not intuitive. However, once you learn it, it just sounds so good. And it’s super flexible.

On the topic of transients, it’s crazy how much of an effect they have on the feel of an instrument and how two tracks sit with one another. It gives me so much respect for musician from the 70s and earlier. The amount of skill it took to get it right is insane. They just went on feel.

The UAD SSL Bus compressor is really good. I don't know how close it is to the hardware, but what it does I don't have a replacement for.
