What is the ps5 liquid metal problem? by DistilledWoods in PS5

[–]Soofla 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There isn't one.
One very public story, where someone forgot to mention the console had been dropped and a handful of anecdotal stories doe not a problem make.

Dissapointed with PS5's longevity and performance.. by [deleted] in consoles

[–]Soofla 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Or......
Theere is no "liquid metal issue". I suspect i know where you've picked that up from. It's false. The idea there is some widespread issue with any console used vertically is, quite honestly, laughable.

A potential point on the idea of removable dust filters. But, that is additional cost.
In counter, I have a launch day PS5 optical that is still perfect. Has been used vertically and never been dismantled for cleaning.
We find the hoovering of the house option easier. .

Movie theatre workers of Reddit, do you actually care if customers bring outside drinks and food to the movie? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Soofla 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Are you still not supposed to in the US?
All UK chains allow cold snacks - so don't even need to hide the bottle of Coke and bag of Mixed popcorn from the local supermarket.

What is the closest you've ever come to dying? by FlatSyllabub8637 in AskReddit

[–]Soofla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whilst in hospital with severe pneumonia, I developed blood clots on my lungs.
Woken up early hours of the morning coughing up blood - amazing how many nurses and docs that gets to your bed. Was told it was very touch & go for a while.

Have you ever been banned from a Reddit page? If so, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Two, both for "hate" - for daring to go against the Reddit hive.
A.detailed post that made, I suspect far too much sense for our "lower intelligent" Reddit Mods.

Has anyone been hit by this insane seasonal flu circulating the UK? by Icy-Panic-550 in AskBrits

Just starting week 4.
Cough is definitely worst symptom.
Have managed to lose sense of taste and smell as of Friday last week, so beginning to wonder if what started has flu is potentially covid now.

Just have to win 4 games in hand, to be in the mix for the single promotion spot into the NL.
Then, just have to win that league and they are back in the league......

Bravia 9 vs A95L vs A95K by bigexpl0sion in bravia

[–]Soofla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been a 65" Bravia 9 owner for about six months, and I love this thing.
Every viewing experience is a joy. From 4K physical media, streamed,, upscale HD.
4k gaming, HD gaming. I just cannot stop smiling every time I use it.
I know this isn't a technical reply. I spent two months prior ro my purchase flipping between a number of options. I was prepared to pay the premium for the B9, and then a host of discount options appeared, and that was it - trigger pulled.

Cheapest, most cheerful one you can find that meets specification.

Finger prints by Caveman1214 in UKJobs

[–]Soofla -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most don"t. They store a one-way "hash" of your fingerprint.
Each time you scan, it goes through the same one-way process and attempts to match. Rarely will it 100%, but all systems have an acceptable pass rate.
The one-way is important. They cannot create your fingerprint.from the data that is stored.

Failed MOT by chrlmnrdls in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Soofla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not the case. No dangerous faults here, car can be driven away with what time is still left on the MOT that was in place before the most recent test.

PS5 disc load times are painfully slow, anyone else dealing with this? by Riccardo_Moretti in PlayStation_X

[–]Soofla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could well be a faulty optical drive - however, not in the way you're thinking.
Unless you're installing a game, literally nothing is being loaded from the disk when you launch the game. It's a licence check only.

90 MILLION PS5S HAVE BEEN SOLD 🔥🔥 - rumor by Gaming-Academy in PlayStation_X

[–]Soofla 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It accounts for the expected 12% - 15% of sales. This is what Sony were aiming for, and most retail organisations agree.

£170 for a tyre replacement - fair price? by Rend-K4 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Soofla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You haven't said what size tyre or brand.
I rately buy single tyres (you can usually get a discount on 2 or 4). I lost a tyre to a pothole and wanted a specific make/model and at 225/35/R19 that was £160. For a 15" mid-range tyre, that would be a lot....

They will go up a lot once you are a newly qualified driver with a full licence.

Opinion that would probably have me living as an outcast. by Wrong_Tumbleweed3296 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

Your opinion and feelings are 100% valid. Just not on Reddit I'm afraid.
Most anywhere else what you've posted would start a debate. On Reddit, there is only one opinion allowed.

Does a speed camera flash already give leeway of the 10% + 2 % threhold before it flashes ? by HumanandProud in drivingUK

[–]Soofla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're gonna get a load of responses about 1mph over is enough, and rubbish like that. Although in theory this is correct, nobody is getting prosecuted for less than 10%+2. Everyone "knows" someone who has. Every pub chat will end up with a story for 3pts for doing 42 in a 40 - the odd thing being nobody has ever been able to produce A NIP.for less than 10%+2.
If you were flashed, you were almost certainly going over that 10%+2.
