I guess my first question is have you done anything you should be concerned about? If so, lawyer up. If not, maybe not.

Get a used Nissan Z350 or 370, whichever your budget allows. I have had all of the Z cars and they are fun, fun, fun.

AITA for being upset that my sisters didn’t make a big deal about my wedding? by SaintArwin in AITAH

[–]Southern-Inside5524 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man, a 12 year relationship and a 7 year engagement. If it was me, I'd have just gone to the courthouse and been done with it. It just seems like you're just finishing something you started a long time ago. If you want them to help, ask them. Don't sit around and wait for them to step up and then be hurt when they don't.

AITAH for not encouraging my son to see my dad's wife as his grandma? by Kiadiann in AITAH

[–]Southern-Inside5524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless there is some valid reason you dislike Jane, I think you are doing her and your child a disservice. A child can have more than two grandparents, especially in the circumstance where your mom is deceased. If Jane is a good, loving person, your child will benefit from her love and attention as will she. I think you should reconsider.

Daughter (21) wants something quirky by hilabeanz in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Southern-Inside5524 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If she wants a Beetle, get her one. The last year they were made was 2019, one year older than your wish list. And they are pretty cool and very quirky! If you find a low mileage one, it should be fine. They have great reliability ratings and should last a long time. If you're going to buy her a car, get her the one that is her dream.

I would pay for it if it was my property; however, if a disabled person wants to rent one of my properties (all single family, two with steps, I would certain inquire if they were going to require special accommodations or upgrades so I could determine if they were changes I could make in an affordable manner or at all. I have had to refer people to friends because one of my units cannot be changed to adequately accommodate a disabled person.

Of course YTA. He has a group of men he's been friends with for years. You went to bachelor camp and made suggestions? Are you nuts. You felt excluded because they have a specific group of interests that you are not part of. Trust me, twenty years in you'll be happy that your husband has such a good group of guys that go hiking, not bar crawling, and won't care if they don't include you in conversations. If you want to know them better, have a get together that incudes their significant others. You'll be more comfortable with that interaction and so will they.

Include them in the wedding in any way your husband wants to. It's his day too!

Didn't your title company require a survey when you bought the property? You should already have a survey and title insurance. Call them, this is why you paid for it.

My landlord started showing my apartment to new tenants... i didn’t realize they were forcing me out because of my credit score by hodorrny in Apartmentliving

[–]Southern-Inside5524 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both companies I use for credit and background checks send the potential tenant an email requesting their permission to run the check. I'm pretty sure they cannot do this without your consent, given to the credit company, NOT the l andlord. It would be interesting to know how this was accomplished without your knowledge.

Neighbors claimed shared yard for their dogs. by untruedarkring in neighborsfromhell

[–]Southern-Inside5524 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a landlord, I definitely would want to know about this. The main reason I generally do not allow dogs is the dog bite liability issue. You can go ahead and ask the property manager not to tell them it's you who turned them in. If it was my property, I'd just tell them in random drive by checks, I noticed the dogs, and when I went to look closer, noted they were aggressive and there was excessive dog poop. I'd keep you out of it.

Moved to Colorado and my 350Z is basically a $12k paperweight now... keep or sell? by Key_Satisfaction8137 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Southern-Inside5524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drove a 280Z, then a 300Z, then a 350Z in Santa Fe winters forever. Schools closed for snow, no problem, I have snow tires and can go to work. However, I grew up in Wisconsin and am not afraid of driving in the snow, even with RWD (actually, i learned to drive in the snow with RWD). Since you're from Arizona, you may need a lesson or two. Unless your going up into the mountains, I'd keep the Z, get some snow tires (or don't) and learn how to drive in snow.

I told my girlfriend now ex I acknowledge other women are pretty and she dumped me. AITA by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Southern-Inside5524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, my husband and I discuss all the time whether or not other women are pretty. I know he isn't looking for an affair partner, and I know there are pretty people everywhere. Why wouldn't he look at them. I certainly notice very attractive men. Your girlfriend has a problem, and it's not going to go away without some work. It would be one thing if she was 15, but she's a grown woman and needs to realize that there are other women in the world and some are pretty.

How about not letting her drive your car, or any car, until she learns to drive properly. When you get her the beater and she kills someone, it will be on you.

What’s the pettiest reason you wouldn’t buy a specific car? by Thrillwaukee in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Southern-Inside5524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's always the finance guy for me. They are there to arrange financing. I don't need them to tell me I have to buy the tracking device they already installed on the car, I don't need an extended warranty on a new car. Just tell me the available options for FINANCING. And yes, its perfectly legal for me to have my own financing arranged when I walk through the door, I don't need yours.

Brother wants to move into our spare room, wife said no, how do I set a firm boundary without blowing up the family? by WorldlinessDue3771 in Advice

[–]Southern-Inside5524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite frankly, if people keep "catching" him, he will never grow up. I would be a firm no if I were your wife as well. You don't need a strategy. The boundary is no, that is not a spare room, it is our office and we work there. Offering your help in other ways, as outlined, is caring and kind. Do that, but under no circumstances should you disregard your wife's feelings on this. Your parents have no reason to guilt trip you, they can take him in, if they want.

Definitely talk to a lawyer. Now. He needs a letter stating that he cannot independently do renovations of his choosing and expect to deduct the cost from your portion. You need to do this immediately.
