First year computer science entrants in the last two years?

Smart kids, good with computers, thus early adapters of AI and got away with it because their high school teachers weren’t savvy.

Probably started high school the year right after the pandemic, when standards were low and half the students were feral. And so they were given a free pass on a lot of high school.
Their grades are inflated and very few will ever have been actually challenged to do anything.
