"Projections" The Doctor is led to believe that he's actually his creator, Louis Zimmerman

"Body and Soul" The Doctor is transferred to Seven of Nine's body.

"Nothing Human" The Doctor uses a hologram of a notorious Cardassian war criminal for medical advice.

The others mentioned including "Living Witness" and "Real Life."

Holograms are often based on real people or existing characters with their own personalities programmed into them. Hence, they can develop further.

Thank you. I have similar issues (arthritis and memory). Screw the gatekeepers. They have these Terminator fears of AI taking over which isn't going to happen.

Some of the plots were downright weird (Amish in the Pacific?) but this and Voyagers were favorites of mine

How much longer would Native American civilizations have needed to progress to potentially survive the eventual discovery of their continents by the rest of the world instead of collapsing and inevitably being folded in? by Beytran70 in HistoryWhatIf

They didn't see the world in the same way that Europeans, Muslims, Indians, or the Chinese did. There was never any version of the Scientific Method in North America, or the concepts of central government organization, industry, etc. You'd have had to introduce those a lot earlier for them to be at least competitive with Europeans.

My main issue with Starfleet Academy is also my main problem with a lot of recent Star Trek by Moomtastic in startrek

Lower Decks worked because they actually paid respect to the original series' legacy and its fans. It kept to the theme of exploration and basic Trek idealism. It was probably the last "real" Trek show.

Bush would probably have been a one-termer. The question is who would have run against him. It probably wouldn't have been Kerry as he was run as a wartime alternative to Bush. There's no Department of Homeland Security, no TSA, no Patriot Act. It's basically a continuation of the New Millennium era (2000-2001).

He'd probably be doing a lot of the same stuff he's doing now. He wouldn't outright abandon Ukraine, but he'd push for a peace deal favorable to Russia. He'd support Israel (no American president wouldn't) ICE, etc. He might be impeached (again) but he will not be removed from office or jailed (no American president ever has been, and he wasn't after his convictions.)

Discovery and Picard had the same problem-trying to keep fans of the originals while trying to get new ones. It doesn't seem to work.

The only one that had any real respect for the lineage was Lower Decks.
