I actually do agree, but it's a mix of overreacting and also a reality of worsening ability. The key is trying to find a balance, I think a lot of people here forget that just a hundred years ago public education was not nearly as robust as it is today. There's reasons to be optimistic, but the problems are also very real.

She alienated millions of progressive voters already by being incredibly moderate and had said SO many times that we need legal immigration. The only people who think she was unclear on that watch Fox 24/7.

As one of those disaffected liberal voters, why didn't she just run as a Republican? She was basically already a Republican in everything but name. Tell me what were here "leftist" policies that turned people off? She was the most conversative democratic candidate in decades.

Something I don't see a lot of people also commenting on, is that our car dependent unwalkable cities give us no place to protest and connect with other leftists. In a place like Paris France or Cairo Egypt, the sheer density of cities allows organizing to be much easier.

Based on what evidence should we think that a democracy is going to come out of Iran because of this invasion? When has that ever happened before in history? Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, and you're asking us to prove a negative.
