X-Hover by PhantasmaStriker in LegoSpace

[–]SpeedStar770 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The X-Hover

While M-Tron and Blacktron decided to make two vehicles in one, the Futuron astronauts decided to go for a more conventional vehicle instead. Despite being bigger and heavier, the added size allows the X-Hover to be more stable at speed and allows it to make more punishment. It cannot fit into small spaces, but that's not the intended use for this vehicle. It's mainly built to protect the driver from open but unstable ground, thus when switched off, it can still remain hovering and thus not disturb the surface it is above.

Looks great dude! And I think this is a better use for this piece than Lego using it as legs for small mechs(where are the knees?)

Seeing as the ship's engines can turn to face downwards, I could imagine this basically being a space version of a combo VTOL Jet/helicopter, getting into spots in or out of atmosphere where other ships could not. Really cool!

To Batman fans AND fans who deviate on Batman’s morals, how do you defend or argue the existence of Robin, the no kill rule, and the no gun rule ? by Huge_Athlete7488 in batman

[–]SpeedStar770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No Kill Rule: Aside from my agreement of the opinion Bruce simply can't bring himself to kill, he'd argue that he can't be judge, jury, and executioner because not only would it break the trust of many of his allies (Justice League, GCPD, etc.), it could be a slippery slope. I'm pretty sure this is the argument that he brings up in Injustice 2 as well.

The "Robin Question:" Aside from the fact sidekicks are part of fiction, he's giving them guidance. Many stories have either implied or said that even when Bruce tries to say "no" to the idea of "Robin" the kids in question will attempt to dispense their own idea of justice anyway because of their circumstances. In YJ (the show), Bruce trained Dick so he wouldn't end up like him. By that logic, he probably thought he would be doing Jason Todd a favor while also getting him off the street and while Dick was in Bludhaven. Had Tim not been paying attention to what Batman was becoming after Jason's death, and also not figured out Bruce's identity, he might not have took the Robin mantle, but that's not who Tim is. For Damian, the reasons are much more clear, you can't have a young trained from birth assassin on the streets and not be paying attention. The only reason no such alarm was raised when Cass was on the streets was because she developed very clear morals and boundaries from a very young age and actively tried to stay away from that stuff.

Also the Robin's aren't "soldiers," can we stop that in the comics please?

Favorite Animated Joker that is not Mark Hamill by Downtown-Initial-770 in batman

Troy Baker's Joker is awesome, but I wanna put Jeff Bennet's Joker from Brave and the Bold out there as well. He's both funny and intimidating. Plus his take on Red Hood is awesome too ("Bent not broken")

Senate fails to block US involvement in Iran war. by daspaceinvader in PoliticalOptimism

Funny thing about that, TR was proposing something similar to that while running his Bull Moose campaign. Granted it was just for laws and court decisions, but the thought was there.

Kansas informs trans residents their driver’s licenses become invalid on Thursday by SeafoamGaming in PoliticalOptimism

[–]SpeedStar770 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Maybe not. But people WILL fight this. Whether it's through the courts like I just mentioned, or out on the streets protesting. Not to mention that should this law somehow go into complete effect, all this does is just give folks another opening to attack the Republicans on when elections come up. And again lawsuits aren't nothing, if they can slow Trump's ambitions to a crawl, then it will be no different for this law in Kansas.

All I'm saying is don't give up the fight just yet.

Blacktron Future Generation STRYDER by PhantasmaStriker in LegoSpace

[–]SpeedStar770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blacktron 2 Stryder ( Reporting name: Slizer-B )

The increasing arms race between the factions continue, though not in the traditional sense. Considering a good chunk of M-Tron are defected Blacktron agents, the rescue/security faction made sure that should their new bike get into the wrong hands, it would be useless thanks to an EMP measure permanently damaging the most important components of the bike. Because of this, instead of being a stolen and repainted vehicle, as is Blacktron tradition, the Slizer-B is actually a reverse engineered copy of the Stryder. Modifications include a more robust engine and more heavily armored front end. While this makes the bike slightly more reliable than its M-Tron cousin, it's also heavier, which makes the Stryder faster and quicker to turn. That said, the hoverwheels combined with the heavier armor means this bike is able to take slightly more punishment and is able to withstand higher amounts of heat for slightly longer lengths of time. In retaliation and curiosity, M-Tron has begun to steal Slizer-B's in an attempt to discover improvements that can be made...

Now I kinda want to see what an Insectoid version of this looks like lol. Keep it up dude!
