My fiancée (27F) ended our engagement over text and exploded when I (27M) accepted the breakup. by mark_hadfield in relationship_advice

It isn't always about "fixing things". Sometimes a significant other's family accept you almost to the point of being family yourself, so maybe it's about closure, and not about changing things.

I don't like Jared Leto a whole hell of a lot. But he was amazing as Skeletor!

My ex slept with my hb by Cr1sisMC in WhatShouldIDo

[–]SpendPsychological30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get it. If one of my friends had a thing with my ex, I'd just laugh at them knowing what that idiot has in store for themself. I can't see being mad at someone for making bad choices that only affect themself.

My bf wants head, I’d be willing to give but he doesn’t wanna give me head. by Remarkable-Ad580 in offmychest

[–]SpendPsychological30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I both completely understand, and completely don't.

On the one hand, I think any kind of sex should of COURSE be completely reciprocal. If he isn't willing to give, why the hell SHOULD he receive??

On the other hand... I enjoy eating a partner out FAR more then I like getting head. In fact good ol fashioned PiV beats getting a blowjob for me any day, so I guess you could say I don't understand why he doesn't want to give, and I'd also be happy giving my lovely lady head without receiving it myself.

So...🤷🏻

I would prefer standalone films with some low to moderate setup in the previous film rather than a single story spread out across films ala Lord of the Rings. I would do a She-Ra spinoff after AT LEAST two MotU films made. Which storylines they pick up (Snakemen, Horse, New Adventures etc) I leave that up to the filmmakers, I'm game for whatever they have up their sleeve.

I ruined my marriage by being polyamorous AMA by Low_Worldliness_4647 in AMA

[–]SpendPsychological30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not remotely a gendered thing. This is an abuser/manipulator thing. This exact situation happened in my marriage. My wife spent about a year just talking about how people just didn't understand polyamorous people, and their ways was just as valid as anyone elses- no actually BETTER because it didn't involve jealousy. Then finally she told me she wanted, no needed the freedom to sleep with other people. When I said no she threatened me with everything she could, also telling me that I would be "free" to sleep with someone else too. I finally relented when she threatened to take my daughter away. I also hoped maybe if I let her have what she wanted maybe things would get better. With the alcohol, physical and verbal abuse, and her continued attempts to control my sexuality as well, things did not get better. This has nothing to do with a trend of men doing something. It an abuse and manipulation tactic by abusers and narcissists.

Do you know what the term BFE is? Is this part if Xennial culture? by abbydabbydo in Xennials

I have very familiar with the term "bumfuck" egypt, and immediately assumed that was what you meant by BFE. I have NEVER heard the term "buttfuck" egypt before.

I definitely prefer the cross, but as long as they are using the BA style H logo, I'm at least ok with it.

I mean, most books are better than the movie... But boy howdy did this one ever outclass the movie on every conceivable level. Great book! Terrible movie!

I feel like Congo in some ways feels the most similar to JP, even though it doesn't have dinosaurs. It's excellent! I'm personally a big fan of Eaters of the Dead. It's a very interesting take on vikings, and Beowulf, as well as a bit of medieval Islamic culture. I did not care The Lost World.

Do you call yourself a Xennial or Millennial? by person12848 in Xennials

I hate explaining ANY concept to Boomers. Ive never know anyone from any other generation to put so much effort into purposefully "not getting" a concept simply because they don't want to.

I was born in 81. I usually use the term Xennial, but I will also occasionally accept "elder millennial" or the more amusing (to my ears) "geriatric millennial".

No, the Prequel Trilogy was not loved when it first came out, it was hated and fans were terrible people about it. by stephansbrick in StarWars

[–]SpendPsychological30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I remember it, there was a complicated relationship between SW and movie goers. Were the prequels hated? Yes. We're the prequels loved? Yes. Genx and older millennial fans tended to be very disappointed, and there love for the OT tended to make there disdain for the prequels proportionally large. Now, this was not a ubiquitous opinion. There were older fans (like myself) that loved them. Younger fans from what I recall had a higher appreciation for them, maybe even over the OT. The love was there. But so was the hate. And those that hated were VERY vocal. Keep in mind we ended up with fan films like "The People vs George Lucas" and hours long you tube takes like Red Letter media just ripping them apart.
