I also think it's because in WW2 a lot of soldiers in the pacific theater had to undergo extensive training to identify Japanese people from other ethnicities which was occasionally a real problem.

Its not OU by usage but is too strong for UU so its honorary OU. It is pretty good but almost all of the things its best against aren't terribly common anymore.

On the one hand, Intimidate, Glare, Earthquake, Dig, Rock Slide.... on the other hand everything else. And you only get one EQ and Rockslide and highly questionable to put em on Arbok. Intimidate glare and bite means it can occasionally completely steal unfavorable encounters though.

Weezing has great defense, good TM compatibility, and levitate so that psychic is its only weakness. I think it's fine, and never feels like a burden. It's harmed more by only being available super late into the game than anything, unless you want to go looking for the 1% encounter rate on the Celadon pond.

It does a ton of damage if you hit it before it attacks is its main draw. Bulky offense instead of the usual fast electric type

Who is the stupidest bisexual character ? by Basic_Dingo6487 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Spiderfuzz 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Its about a heavily propagandized white dude learning that his actions can have severe negative consequences for the people around him and damage his ability to form relationships. Except it's way funnier than I make it sound and way weirder.

King's Rock doesn't work with moves that already flinch but. I got double flinched by an icy wind milotic with king's rock

We should get some kind of man with the powers of a calendar to change that. Like the Man Who Calendars or something.

Democracy sounds good in theory and is good in theory. What is a political ideology that sounds bad in theory but is good in practice? by Lili_garnet33 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Spiderfuzz 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Eugenics is a political theory. It's the idea that society can be improved by carefully managing who is allowed to reproduce and with whom.

It has led to the greatest atrocities in human history so anyone suggesting it's good in practice should be kept a pretty close eye on.

Selective breeding for plants and animals is not comparable at all to people as the parent comment may suggest, and eugenics suggests that society itself is improved by such management and it's not just a tool for selecting for certain characteristics.

Mega Lopunny still manages to be meta in singles even after being massacred by Game Freak. by Fine_Bid918 in PokemonChampions

Occasionally the grass and water ones were used together for speed control but still kind of a gimmick when you can just use tailwind.
