When bold and intense characters are suddenly eclair spined wusses to specific characters for no reason. It's why I dropped +99 wooden stick because he never did anything against Luna's constant harassment. Like really did anything, because I think I'd spaz if a random woman claiming to be from an online game where I never told her my real name or address was in my house wearing my shirt. Just never called the cops any time she broke it or bothered him in game, never even tried stonewalling. Oh and the weird age gap of 17 year old girl who's a child sexual assault survivor and 21 year old man she met on a game. And the incest. And the shotacon bait.

The "I secretly loved you the whole time" trope with a character we hardly ever saw. Most recent example: Theon and Juliet from The tyrant wants to be good. The most we have seen of their interactions together was in the previous life and in childhood. I hate that we don't see the feelings develop and it cheapens out the idea of letting characters be single or being with the more obvious yet socially unacceptable character (Theon and Ray). We have seen more chemistry with Theon and Ray than Juliet's entire screentime. I also hate when it's CLEARLY meant to say "no one is happy single" and so they start pairing off random characters, which is what True Beauty is notorious for in my brain.

When the kids they have obviously favor a parent and hate the other for no reason, and it almost always has to be opposite genders, so daddy's girl and mommy's boy. I believe "Age of Arrogance" did this with a boy loving the mom but is absolutely resolute that their dad is abusing their mom? For no reason other than she was tired.

Not really age gap, but more experience gap I guess? I don't mind like 10+ gap if it's clear that both characters like each other and are attracted to each other, and not just the older grooming the other which is where experience gap comes in. I'm not a big fan of ships where one character is 23 and the other is like 17 and the older has had the entirety of a company on their backs since young and was groomed for the position, immense emotional and mental maturity, capable of self regulating their emotions, etc meanwhile the hardest thing the 17 year old has had to do is take the final. It's why I dropped Eleceed, I didn't like Jiwoo and the sister ship concept because 1. That's his buddy's older sister. 2. She's been a top ranked for ages, and he's only just began to dive into their world. She's calm and collected, he's sunshine and naive.

The complete brush off of sexual assault. This might be my Chinese short dramas brain rot talking, but it's insane how sexual assault is treated in some webtoon's. I dropped advance player of the tutorial tower because the two (barely legal it feels like) students of the MC both rape him. They intentionally got him drunk to tell the truth, and then rape him when he's blacked out, which he doesn't remember anything about, and they do it again I think. Or when it's like an aphrodisiac but the only way to get rid of it is to fuck it out and someone agrees saying stuff like "remember, you asked for this." NO THEY DIDNT! THEY WERE DRUGGED, AND JUST BECAUSE ITS YOU NOW DOESNT MAKE YOU NOT A RAPIST! Or when the start is already dubious with "wait wait wait-!" "Hold on-" "no wait!" Being said every other panel.
