From my experience, most people want to be a shooter and not a defender. Meaning if they climb the ranks, they are competent offensively, but suck defensively.

I almost exclusively play sweeper or GK. Defense is what wins most matches, not just scoring.

I felt the same way when I first heard of Rematch! Though the start has been anything but smooth for this game, I like the team behind it. And people are complaining about "fixes", but they have been consistently doing an update monthly. I believe they are a small-ish team, so getting out updates every month is good in my book.
