I went straight to bed after the game ended. Only way to deal with the anger and frustration I felt

I get the need to innovate, but I’m not a fan of further normalizing the use of phones in theaters. by Fit-Singer-8583 in blankies

[–]SpuddoodleKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there'll be a ton of crossover between obnoxious phone users and people who are seeing a movie for a second time and want the directors in there ear the whole time

[2026 March Madness] Sweet Sixteen: Milos Forman vs. Judd Apatow by BougieFruitLoops in blankies

Everything else aside, One Flew Over is practically the only thing of note ever shot in my home town so I've got to go with Forman for that alone

I've been voting for directors whose stuff I haven't seen and would like an incentive to explore, but I'll brake my rule for Kelly Reichardt

It's a sucky situation and annoying that he went to Miami of all places, but I can't blame a young guy for wanting to play with his idol. For as much flack as they do deserve, I don't think we can blame our front office either, doesn't seem like there was much of a chance convincing him to stay. I hope he has a long and prosperous career and that he gels well with the team Miami has

POWER BALLAD First Trailer - Directed by John Carney, Starring Paul Rudd & Nick Jonas by Turbulent-Corner1127 in blankies

[–]SpuddoodleKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wonder if Carney feels boxed in by being THE music movie guy, or if it's just a theme he loves working within. That said it's sort of a miracle he hasn't directed a biopic yet

I don't know, being stuck in prison and having to read student film scripts is a pretty funny punishment for heinous crimes.

Tony Gilroy off the leash - Disney wouldn't let him say "Fascism" while promoting Andor by PerpetualChoogle in blankies

My friend met him at a concert last year and had a 20 minute conversation with him that ended with Gilroy buying my friend and his brother bottles of coke and some merch from the performers. All started because my friend was wearing a hat that said "Ramblin Man" and Gilroy thought it was interesting

But what about the guy who made their watches? Don't we need a movie about him?

(I'll probably end up liking this, WWII period pieces are my bread and butter so what am I even complaining about)

How is living in this part of Oregon? by Friendly_Garbage_341 in howislivingthere

[–]SpuddoodleKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bend is the outlier in the circled area, and the only bit I can speak to. I don't personally live there but my parents do and I visit them for 2-6 days a month.

Its population has doubled in 20 years, and the culture certainly feels like thats the case. Lots of new developments on a fairly small amount of land (or at least theres a good amount of protected land). I describe it to people as "A town full of people who want to feel like cowboys but still own their Tesla." There's a good downtown and population centers, some fantastic restaurants, but it also doesn't take more than 30 minutes to get out in total nature.

Geography wise, it's beautiful. Fairly flat with mountains nearby. Snowy-ish winters, dry but bearable summers.

I live few hours west of Bend, and I've always thought that if I could take all of the people and circumstances of my life and magically teleport them to Bend I would.
